Square Enix has already dabbled in remasters for the Nintendo Switch.Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remasterwas ported to the Nintendo Switch in April 2019. There are also several other examples ofFinal Fantasygames released on Nintendo platforms.Final Fantasy VII Remakemight be to graphically demanding for the Nintendo Switch, but we can still dream that it becomes possible. Perhaps the game would work with downgraded graphics.
