Resident Evil 8is one of the horror games that many players are looking forward to for the year 2021. As it will be continuing the long-runningResident Evilstory, it will likely answer questions that fans have been wanting to know for some time now.
While most of theResident Evilgames are self-contained for the most part, allowing players to hop right into the series with any game, they are all still connected over an overarching plot. Because of this,Resident Evil 8will likely give out new information regarding Chris, Ethan, and Mia.

It is currently unknown whichResident Evilcharacters will be returning forResident Evil 8outside of the ones shown in the initial trailer. However, this doesn’t mean that more can’t appear as a surprise in the proper full game.
Is “The Organization” Still Active?
Ada Wong has always been a mysterious figure in theResident Evilgames. While she has been responsible forsaving Leon Kennedy’s lifemultiple times, she isn’t one to talk about herself. What is known about Ada is in how she is an operative for a rival company to the Umbrella Corporation known only as “The Organization.”
Like Ada, there isn’t much known about The Organization. There is a possibility of it being connected to the company that Mia Winters worked under, known as the Connections.Albert Weskerwas noted to have involvement with both, so its possible that there are more threads that still need to be uncovered.

AfterResident Evil 4,The Organizationisn’t mentioned again in theResident Evilgames. This means that it could still be active even after the shutting down of the original Umbrella Corporation, and it could even be a player in the upcomingResident Evil 8.
Why Did Chris Kill Mia in the Trailer?
After the surprise title reveal toward the end ofResident Evil 8’s trailer, viewers were hit with a scene of Chris Redfield brutally executing Mia Winters as Ethan Winters watches in horror. The shock of this scene has many fans wondering why Chris would do that. While Mia has been a threat inResident Evil 7, she was cured at the end of that game. Additionally, when Chris shoots her, she is already seemingly knocked out on the ground. While the answer to this question will definitely be answered, many fans are nervous about why Chris would do something so out of character.
Is the Mold Still Out There?
The Mold is a bio organic weapon created by the Connections that serves as the root of the main threats inResident Evil 7. It is capable of infecting others so that an E-Type human can mind control those affected by it. While it was dealt with in the Baker House, it is very possible that it could still exist in some capacity as it was developed as a bio weapon.Resident Evil 8has the potential to confirm if it has been completely wiped out or if there is some mold still growing in this new location.
Are the Werewolves From a Virus or Supernatural?
Many were surprised by the appearance of awerewolf-like creature in theResident Evil 8trailer. With talks of witches being enemies in the game as well, it is unknown if the werewolves are a result of some kind of bio weapon or something of a supernatural origin.
All of theResident Evilgames have enemies that were created viahuman meddling or bio weaponry. However, werewolves weren’t expected to appear, suggesting the possibility of there being other factors involved with this game. Like with Chris, this question is very likely to be answered in-game.

Is Resident Evil 4 Connected?
Resident Evil 4is one of the odd ones out in theResident Evilseries. However, many have compared the village shown inResident Evil 8’s trailer to the setting ofResident Evil 4.
While it isn’t unlikely for there to bemultiple spooky villagesthat the heroes ofResident Evilneed to face, the similarities have piqued the interest of too many for it to just be a coincidence. Hopefully this means that there will be some returning plot elements or connections from 4 coming to 8.

Resident Evil 8is in development for the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
