Much like howRaymond is the most popular villageramong many vocalNew Horizonsplayers on social media, the Wolf Link amiibo villager was a fan favorite of theWelcome Amiiboupdate. Now, fans are wondering why they can’t summon Nintendo amiibo themed villagers to their campsite inNew Horizons.
This question is not necessarily new, as many players and industry figures alike were wondering how Nintendo would handle amiibo figures going intoNew Horizons. Nintendo eventually confirmed thatAnimal Crossingamiibo figures and cards would be compatible withNew Horizons, as players could get their favoritevillagers inNew Horizonsusing amiibo. Unfortunately, the other various Nintendo-themed amiibos currently have no use when scanned inNew Horizons, leaving fans to wonder if amiibo villagers will ever make a return.
That said,New Horizonsapparently has plenty of updates in store in the future, as the game now receives seasonal updates through downloadable content. This means that there very well may be hope left for amiibo villagers to make a return inNew Horizons.
