Following the resignation ofTwitchstreamer Rich Campbell from One True King (OTK), Asmongold shared his thoughts on the sexual assault accusations against his fellow streamer. So far, he is the only one to speak up on behalf of the organization, which includeTwitchtalents like Esfand and Emiru.
Asmongold and Campbell co-founded OTK in 2020, and have been known to be good friends. However, after Azalialexi came forward withaccusations of sexual assault against Campbell, OTK immediately announced that he’s left the organization. It also said in its statement that it stands against sexual harassment and assault. In his own statement, Campbell said he would be sharing his side of the story once he’s collected his thoughts.

In an emotional stream, which was later uploaded on YouTube, Asmongold addressed the situation and reiterated that Campbell was no longer part of OTK, noting that everyone in the company was blindsided by the news. He asked fans to stop calling people like Azalialexi “liars,” emphasizing that OTK is on the side of sexual harassment and assault victims. People who engaged in victim-blaming behavior will not be considered fans of Asmongold or OTK. Asmongold also said that he’s willing to tank all the hate directed at OTK employees and talents because they didn’t deserve it.
Lastly, Asmongold said he read the messages against Campbell and found out other information about the situation. He clarified to viewers that this was not regularTwitch dramawhere Campbell was getting canceled, “these are crimes.” He went on to assure fans that he will be able to deal with this situation despite feeling guilty and betrayed by his former friend, and that they should send their support at people like Azalialexi who come forward with their experiences.
Clips of Asmongold’s stream were shared on Reddit, where fans commended how he called out fans who were attacking the victim. Some admitted that while they may not agree withAsmongold’s takes on issues like Nadia’s permanent Twitch ban, his statement seemed sound. Meanwhile, there were still fans who speculated further on Campbell’s departure from OTK, which others said that regardless if he defended himself or not, Asmongold and other members seemed to have more information on the accusations that warranted an immediate resignation.
OTK and Asmongold’s responses to the accusations against Campbell have been professional and well-received by the Twitch community. It’s also been a difficult few months for the organization asMizkif also took a leave of absence for allegedly covering up Adianah Lee’s sexual assault. But if Asmongold’s statement will be trusted, OTK should be able to bounce back.
