How to Begin the Attack on Grantebridge?
Glory Regained begins with players needing to speak with Soma and her advisors before they attempt to retake Grantebridge. This is the second opportunity to get to know these advisors and can provide extra dialogue for those looking to learn more about them. These characters will play an important role inan upcoming quest inAssassin’s Creed Valhallaand so it may be best to learn more here. In order to progress further, however, players need to just walk over to Soma and open dialogue.
Soma will ask players to meet her at the western gate of the city and this is best accomplished by taking the Longship and its crew west and down the river. This does not function likethe raids inAssassin’s Creed Valhallaand, instead, players will know they are in the right spot by locating the large group of Viking allies just outside the gates of the city. Getting close to Soma will automatically start this next phase of the mission.

How to Conquer Grantebridge?
To open up the city, players need to destroy the wagon full of explosives by the gate. Directly inside and to the east will be the first large group of enemies (over a dozen), most equipped with swords and shields. This fight leads players to the second line of defense, a wooden barricade close to the Longhouse. There will be archers holding this wooden barricade, but the wooden fence is simple to break. Working your way up to the Longhouse will prompt players with the request to clear the area. Fortunately, enemies inthis part of Englandshould be easy to defeat.
Soma works her way up to the Longhouse door where players will be alerted to the fact that Wigman, the leader of the Saxons holding Grantebridge, has escaped. The ensuing fight is against Wigman’s Lieutenant as well as a trio of enemies. Players can speak with Soma after this fight, walk over to the large horn, and interact with it to bring about the end of the mission inAssassin’s Creed Valhallabut just the beginning of celebrations.
