Ubisoft reveals its plans to updateAssassin’s Creed Valhallafor an in-game Yule Festival. In addition to the seasonal event, Update 1.1.0 will include balancing and multiple other improvements forAssassin’s Creed Valhalla.
This most recent entry takes players into the story ofone of the series' best assassins, Eivor, a Viking raider in ninth-century England. For those who are still enjoying the world, there is plenty more content coming soon. The Yule Festival launch is the first event tied to Ubisoft’s post-launch DLC roadmap for the game.

Main content coming with the 1.1.0 update includes a foundation for the Yule Festival and additions to settlement expansion. Fans ofAssassin’s Creed Valhallawill be quite familiar withcustomizing Eivor’s settlement, as it was one of the main gameplay mechanics. Once players install the patch, they will notice revelers east of their current settlement. That said, the specifics of what settlement expansion entails are not coming until Ubisoft releases its Yule Season preview.
Even more significant are the tweaks coming toAssassin’s Creed Valhallawith the 1.1.0 update. NPC power level will cap out at 51 below the player. Fortunately, boss level will match the player’s power level when it is greater than the bosses’ base level. There are also some changes to information not displaying correctly, such as certain weapon stats andthe ten legendary animal trophiesnot appearing in the longhouse. This is just the tip of the iceberg, as the update improves a list of aspects overall.
It is not particularly common for single-player games to get post-launch updates, but Ubisoft has been consistent in this regard for its popular series.Assassin’s Creed Valhallais a massive game, coming with instances ofrandom bugs or hilarious glitches. It is great that Ubisoft is sticking with polishing the game, an effort that benefits current and future players. While details of the Yule Festival are scarce for now, it should offer a fun experience for the Nordic atmosphere.
When it comes to stability, the changes are for PC only. This could leave console players still potentially experiencing stability issues for now. Those who find theworld ofAssassin’s Creed Valhallalacking historical accuracyor depth may not find a season event worth jumping back in for. However, any extra content for a game already full of things to do is never a bad thing, and should excite fans.
