Many people who wander intoCurse of the Dead Godsmay end up getting stuck midway through. They might need some beginner tips to start off on the right foot, along with being guided along to the right path.
Keep Shooting The Boss
The bosses are rather dangerous when a player is up close and personal to them. If they get too close, they can get swept up by large attacks that take up chunks of the player’s HP, and can even kill them in one or two hits.
The solution here is to make sure that the player stays far away, and to just shoot them continuously until they fall or ate at least heavily damage.Though a player still has to avoid getting attackedby long-reaching attacks, it’s still easier than manually attacking.

Keep The Light On
A large part ofCurse of the Dead Godsis the lighting aspect of the game. Usually, thetemples that the player ventures through will be extremely dark, and it would be very easy for them to get lost if they do not know where they are going.
It would also make it a lot difficult to fight enemies if players cannot even see where they are going in the temple. As such, it’s a great idea to keep the lights on whenever possible; players can use torches to light enemies ablaze or otherwise just light up the room.

Use The Blazing Shield
The Blazing Shield is actually one of the best items for a player to pick up in the early game, and can definitely ensure that their runs go a little smoother in the first few hours. The Blazing Shield, once a player picks it up, will light up the area around the player, and set the enemies on fire.
If a player does not want to go through the hassle of manually lighting enemies ablaze, the Blazing Shield will work wonders for them. The Blazing Shield can be found dropped by monsters, or in chests.

Improve Timing
Timing is everything inCurse of the Dead Gods. This is something a player will have to remember while playing, as it may end up being the difference between life and death during a run; players will need to pay attention.

It has actually been figured out that enemies are quite predictable. They do not attack that often, and will usually have a tell before they are about to attack. A player needs to learn the timing, or when these tells are, in order to be able to get out of the way in time before they attack.
Learn To Use Traps
There are many traps set around the area. A player who is relatively new to the game might not realize that these traps, once they are utilized correctly, will be insanely useful against large swarms of enemies.
The traps, although they can appear out of nowhere and can kill the player, deals large damage to the enemies as well.Once a player figures this out, they can just lure a large swath of enemies to any trap, which will cause the enemies to detonate them and possibly even kill themselves (if not end up seriously injured).

Parrying Is Difficult, But Pays Off
Like many things inCurse of the Dead Gods, it is rather difficult to parry right at first. The player’s timing will have to improve before they can learn how to parry correctly; however, once they do, they will be handsomely rewarded.
If a player is able to parry correctly, they will not only not take the damage the enemy was about to lay down, but they will alsorestoresome of their health, as well. There is no downside to parrying.Although the timing can be a bit difficult to master, once a player learns how to rapidly parry, it will be a great help towards their run.

Do Not Get Corrupted
Unfortunately, the player may very well end up getting corrupted, which is something that players need to avoid as much as possible. It can be inevitable to get a bit, but a player should try and take as little as possible.
Corruption, once it starts to stack up, will really take a toll on a player. The Corruption acts as a debuff that will decrease many things that make runs useful (such as defense and attack and even HP in the end), and a player will not be able to survive for long with too much Corruption.

Curse of the Dead Godsis available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
