Shift Up has announced a new mode called “Boss Challenge,” which seeks to significantly shake upStellar Blade’s gameplay. This new mode will be released in a new update on May 24 and will give players more options for practicing and enjoyingStellar Blade’s long list of bosses. With Boss Challenge, players can cut straight to the chase, facing off against a gauntlet of 19 different bosses from the base game.
New Stellar Blade Update Revealed
Once players completeStellar Blade, a new hard difficulty will be unlocked for Boss Challenge. When starting Boss Challenge, players can load up and use their own gear or choose between several preset collections. Players can opt to go light for a greater challenge or equip themselves with an abundance of tools if they struggle during the fight. Once Boss Challenge is over, battle data is analyzed, and metrics will become available for players, such as battle time, the number of perfect parries, and more. This system acts like a leaderboard, allowing players to compare their stats with those of their friends and other players. A successful run-through of Boss Challenge will net players a new Neurolink Suit for Eve, adding toStellar Blade’s collection of outfits.
Along with the new Boss Challenge game mode, several more Nano Suits will be added, which will “bring out [Eve’s] beauty even more,” according to developers. This new update will also ship with several quality-of-life improvements for the game, withStellar Blade’s critically acclaimed combatbeing upgraded. Now, when switching between ranged attacks while locked onto an enemy,Stellar Bladeplayers will automatically lock onto the enemy again.
