The Kage are believed to be some of the strongest ninjas in the world ofNaruto. They have existed for generations and will continue to exist in the future as well. These Kage are incredibly powerful and, given their position, they are responsible for protecting their village. After the ninja council was established, the Kage were also responsible for upholding the integrity of the council itself and, at the same time, protecting the world from any incoming threats.

For that reason, the Kage have to be incredibly powerful and maintain that level of strength throughout their reign. InBoruto, the Kage are believed to be quite powerful, and a worthy upgrade on those that came before them. However, inBorutoPart 2, there have been some changes made, especially in Konoha, which leaves one to wonder whothe strongest of the Kage is at the moment.
The Kage At The Beginning of Boruto
At the beginning ofBoruto, the Kage were made up by some of the most influential ninjas in the world of Naruto. Konoha wasled by Naruto Uzumaki, the 7th Hokage.Suna was led by Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage, while Kumo was led by Darui, the Fifth Raikage. At the same time, Kiri was led by Chojuro, the Sixth Mizukage and, finally, Iwa was led by Kurotsuchi, the Fourth Tsuchikage. All these ninjas proved their worth during the Fourth Great Ninja War and, from there onwards, went on to establish themselves further in their respective regions. A few years later, they ended up becoming the leaders of their respective villages. Together, they were stronger than ever before, given that they fought on the same battlefield against Madara Uchiha and his forces.
It can be assumed that the Kage in Boruto are significantly stronger than the ones that came before them. This is largely down to the fact that they were able to hold their own against the likes of the Otsutsuki forces. Their predecessors struggled against a reanimated version of Madara who was nowhere near the level of an Otsutsuki. Furthermore, this generation of Kage had Naruto Uzumaki and that is a major boost to any group and any point in the history of Naruto. Fans got to see them in action quite soon after Boruto began, as they combined their strength to tackle Momoshiki and Kinshiki together.
The Events That Shook The World
Towards the end ofBorutoPart 1, the world shook whenKawaki decided to tread a very dangerous path. In order to protect Naruto Uzumaki, his benefactor, Kawaki decided that he was going to root out all the Otsutsuki Clan members and kill them. At the same time, he also decided that he would kill his own brother, Boruto, given that he is an Otsutsuki as well. Knowing that Naruto would vehemently oppose this, Kawaki decided to trap him inside his pocket dimension of Daikokuten. Along with him, he also trapped his wife, Hinata. This left him free to pursue Boruto and kill him. When the two met, Boruto could potentially have died had the ninjas of Konoha not intervened. As they did intervene, things looked like they were over for Kawaki, however, Momoshiki came to his rescue.

Kawaki was given the opportunity to escape, and the young ninja tried to flee from the village, only to realize that it was impossible. This is precisely when Ada, one of the most important characters in Boruto, came to his rescue and she helped him out tremendously by bringing his innermost desires to life. Boruto and Kawaki ended up swapping lives. At the same time, the 7th Hokage was declared dead at the hands of Boruto and this meant the entire world turned their hatred towards him. This also meant that Konoha was in need of new leadership and thus, the 8th Hokage was elected, with Shikamaru Nara taking the position for himself.
Who Is The Strongest Kage In Boruto Part 2?
InBorutoPart 1, the lineup of the Kage was certainly very impressive. However, when looking at their individual abilities, it was quite clear that Naruto Uzumaki was, by far, the strongest of them all. Naruto was the strongest shinobi in the entire world at the time of the beginning ofBoruto. Theonly one who could rival him at the time was Sasuke Uchiha, and he certainly was not a Kage. Naruto’s strength, when compared to the others, was far too great. In fact, even the strength of the other four combined would not be enough to match Naruto Uzumaki. He was the only one capable of going toe to toe with Momoshiki and, later on, when he took on an even stronger appearance, it was Naruto and Sasuke together who brought him to heel.
Currently, things are very different. Naruto was replaced by Shikamaru and this only meant that the ranking among the Kage changed quite a bit. Now, the strongest of the Kage is most certainly Gaara of Sunagakure. He is an exceptional fighter with powers of sand manipulation at his disposal. If the novels are to be believed, Gaara also has access to Magnet Release, which makes him even more dangerous. Even in the anime, he was able to keep up in a fight against Urashiki, which makes him special indeed. Other than him, all the others are relatively close to each other in strength, however, Kurotsuchi and Darui stand out, in particular.
Who Is The Weakest Kage In Boruto Part 2?
When it comes to the weakest Kage inBorutoPart 2, this title certainly goes to Shikamaru of Konoha. While the Hokage is traditionally the strongest of all the Kage, Shikamaru is quite easily the weakest Kage to have ever been elected by any village in the entire story. That alone makes his appointment as the 8th Hokage quite unconventional. Shikamaru is not strong enough to best even some Jonin, let alone stand alongside the likes of the other powerful Kage in theBorutoseries. He is only good for strategies but when it comes to combat, Shikamaru is almost useless against the level of foes that are currently plaguing theBorutoworld.
Konoha is desperately in need of new blood and new leadership. If Naruto Uzumaki does return in the future, perhaps he can assume his position as the 7th Hokage once again. However, if that does not happen, someone powerful would need to fill the position.While Konohamaru is one character who wants to take this position, he is underwhelming at the moment as well. Sarada is too young at the moment and it will take some time for her abilities to fully mature. It appears that for now, Konoha will remain stuck with the weakest of all Kage.
