ACall of Dutyfan found the Prestige Edition ofCall of Duty: Ghostsfor sale at a nice discount at their local Walmart.Call of Duty: Ghostswas released in 2013 and was notable for being the firstCoDgame available on the eighth generation consoles as a cross-gen release. Developed by Infinity Ward,Call of Duty: Ghostsis also a notable entry in the series for less positive reasons, unfortunately.

Up untilCall of Duty: Ghosts, all main series entries in theCall of Dutyfranchise earned rave reviews from critics.Call of Duty: Ghostswas released to a decidedly more mixed reaction, with fans unhappy about the multiplayer and finding that the franchise’s campaign formula was growing stale.Call of Duty: Ghostswas disliked enough that even though the game clearly sets up a sequel, there has been no follow-up to this day.

Those who weren’t turned off by the more mixed reviews forCall of Duty: Ghostshad multiple versions of the game to choose from at the time of its release in 2013. Besides the different versions ofCall of Duty: Ghostsavailable for different consoles, there were various editions that came with bonus content. The one touted as the “ultimate"Collector’s Edition ofCall of Duty: Ghostswas the Prestige Edition, which a Reddit user found at their local Walmart for $89.00 even though the game came out a whole decade ago.

TheCall of Duty: GhostsPrestige Edition came with a 1080p camera,the Season Pass which guaranteed access to four DLC map packs, a paracord strap, a steelbook, an in-game patch, card, and background, and a digital copy of the official soundtrack. It cost $199.99 when it first released, so $89.00 is quite the deal, especially since it’s opened. That being said, the box is not in perfect condition. The colors seem faded and there is some damage around the edges, but it should still be a good deal forCall of Dutyfans or collectors.

Call of Duty: Ghostsis generally considered one of the weaker entries in the series, but there are still those who have a great deal of nostalgia for the game and would likely jump at the chance to add the Prestige Edition to their collection, especially at $89.00. Others may want to save their money for newCall of Dutyexperiences, like theupcoming 2023Call of Dutygamethat has yet to be properly revealed at the time of this writing.
