Every year plenty of games celebrate Halloween in different spooky ways and this year Infinity Ward is bringing Halloween fun toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. To celebrate the scariest time of the year,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis getting two new store bundles that feature famous horror movie icons from theSAWandTexas Chainsaw Massacrefranchises.
The Halloween event, called The Haunting of Verdansk, is kicking off inCall of Duty: Modern WarfareandWarzoneon October 20, and on the event’s first day, players can purchase the horrifyingbundles based onSAWandThe Texas Chainsaw Massaremovies. Each bundle comes with a skin that will cause specific Operators to resemble characters from the horror movies. TheSAWbundle comes with a Billy the Puppet skin for Morte andThe Texas Chainsaw Massacrebundle includes a Leatherface skin for Velikan.

To complete the look for Billy the Puppet, theSAWbundle also includes weapons and a vehicle skin that resemble imagery and graphics from theSAWmovies. TheSAWbundle includes The Phlebotomozier Lethal Equipment piece which is a throwing knife that resembles a drill bit. Also, the bundle contains skins for theCR-56 AMAX assault rifleand the Model 680 shotgun featuring the red spiral image on Billy the Puppet’s cheeks. Lastly, theSAWbundle comes with an epic calling card featuring Billy’s face, a spray, a sticker of a cassette tape, and the iconic tricycle that Billy rides in the movie is an attachable gun charm.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacrebundle is largely the same as it includes three weapon skins, a charm, a couple of personalization options, and car horns. This bundle includes the Family Heirloom weapon skin for the FiNN LMG that features a stock that allows players to hold it like a chainsaw and the Buzzkill skin for theever-powerful and reliable MP5. Both weapon skins apply the dismemberment effect and changes the tracer fire color to orange. To complete the set, the bundle has a blueprint that changes a player’s secondary melee weapon into a hammer with one side being a bone breaker and the other side a meat tenderizer.
Infinity Ward has been dropping hints and teases about its Haunting of Verdansk event since Season 6 released a few weeks ago. The launch trailer forModern WarfareandWarzoneSeason 6 concludes with the announcement of the event as well as the iconic laughing sound effect from theSAWmovie franchise. A few days before it was made official,the Billy the Puppet skin fromSAWleaked early leading to fans getting hyped up for all the new Halloween additions.
The horror movie bundles aren’t the only way players can celebrate Halloween inCall of Dutythis year. Once The Haunting of Verdansk kicks off, the game will introduce a new mode calledZombie Royale forWarzonein which, once a player dies, they become a zombie instead of going to the Gulag. The zombified players will attempt to come back to life by killing other living players.
