One of the major new features coming toCall of Duty: Vanguardis the Clan system.Call of Duty: VanguardClans will have special progression, emblems, andBattle Pass rewardsthat are unlocked for everyone in the group as opposed to individual players. The Create-a-Class and Gunsmith features inCall of Duty: Vanguardhave also been detailed as part of theVanguardmultiplayer reveal. Gunsmith was first introduced inCall of Duty: Modern Warfareand proved to be one of the game’s most popular features as it gave players unprecedented gun customization.Call of Duty: Vanguardis bringing Gunsmith back, now allowing players to utilize 10 different attachment slots on weapons in the game.
Activision also touched on howCall of Duty: Vanguardmaps will change during gameplay. While fans shouldn’t expectBattlefield-levels of destructibility,Call of Duty: Vanguardmultiplayer mapswill include “reactive” gameplay environments, which will allow players to break down doors and destroy certain objects in the environment.Call of Duty: Vanguardbringing back doors like the ones seen inModern Warfarehas been a point of controversy in the community, but perhaps knowing that the doors can be knocked down will make worried fans feel better.
And finally, Activision also detailed howCall of Duty: Vanguardis shaking up the traditionalCall of Dutycover system.Call of Duty: Vanguardwill once again feature weapon mounting, though this time players will be able to mount weapons on both vertical and horizontal surfaces. There is also a blindfire option that will allow players to fire around corners without peaking their head and potentially exposing themselves to danger.
