Call of Duty: Warzone 2has released a brand-new gameplay trailer showing the Ashika Island map in action. Ashika Island is coming toCall of Duty: Warzone 2on February 15 as the headlining new addition for the battle royale’s Season 2 update.
Ashika Island is a Resurgence map, which means it’s a small-scale map for the battle royale with special rules where players can keep respawning as long as one member of their team remains alive. The originalCall of Duty: Warzone’s Resurgence maps proved popular,especially Rebirth Island, so many fans of the battle royale are ready to see what Ashika Island has to offer and how it compares to previousCoDbattle royale maps.

In the lead-up to Ashika Island’s launch on February 15, Activision has been revealing new details about the map and exactly what it will entail. Activision recently unveiled the fullAshika Island map, but a newly released trailer lets fans actually see the map in action. The big POI areas all on display in the newCall of Duty: Warzone 2Ashika Island trailer, showcasing everything from the Castle POI to the map’s secret underground waterways. Fans still have a couple of weeks to wait before they can try Ashika Island for themselves, but hopefully the trailer can help tide them over.
Not only will the Ashika Island map be an option for Resurgence players inCall of Duty: Warzone 2, but it will also be getting its own take on DMZ.DMZ is a unique game mode inCall of Duty: Warzone 2that combines PvP and PvE elements. DMZ has earned its own dedicated fan base, and so it’s great to see the game mode expanded with the Ashika Island map. It’s possible other playlists will rope Ashika Island in as well, but nothing to that effect has been announced at the time of this writing.
It’s also unclear exactly how many people will be in any given Ashika Island match. Considering the fact that Ashika Island is a much smaller map than Al Mazrah, one would imagine that it would feature a much lower player count, similar to theoriginalWarzone’s Resurgence maps. However, specifics have not been announced at the time of this writing, soCall of Duty: Warzonefans will have to hang tight for more information.
Luckily, fans don’t have to wait too much longer to learn more about Ashika Island andCall of Duty: Warzone 2Season 2as a whole. Activision has confirmed that more information is coming February 8, soCall of Dutyfans can mark their calendars accordingly.
