Shotguns have a mixed perception inCall of Duty: Warzonedue to damage spread not always resulting in expected damage. Still, there is one major shotgun trend that continues to appear in casual and professional loadouts. Players who learn to master theirCall of Duty: Warzoneshotguns end up being some of the deadliest combatants on the battlefield.
When it comes to shotguns, theR9-0 is a normal go-to option forWarzonefans. Players have seen other choice weapons get nerfed or rebalanced but the R9-0 seems to be staying in a reasonable niche of strength and weaknesses. This gun has quickly become a choice weapon forCall of Duty: WarzoneandModern Warfarefans.

TheR9-0 Shotgun is a popular weapon found inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’sarmory. The weapon fires two barrels in rapid succession before being pumped allowing for a two-shot kill potential with a single trigger pull. Naturally, the weapon comes loaded with 14 shells and is a common weapon among Barkov’s forces.
R9-0 Shotgun Loadout
For thispowerfulWarzoneloadout, players will start with a muzzle choke. This attachment allows for a tighter spread which will result in more pellets impacting their target giving the gun a more consistent damage output. The Forge Tac Sentry barrel increases the range of the weapon and helps to further tighten the spread. The goal is to have the most pellets impact the target with every trigger pull.
On the rear players have stippled grip tape which allows for faster ADS speeds. The 5mW laser goes to further increase ADS speed from sprint and give the gun an increased hip fire for those impulse trigger pulls. Finally, players add inthe R9-0’s Dragons Breath ammunitionwhich does burn damage in addition to standard impact damage. This makes the weapon incredibly lethal to enemies at short and medium ranges with the burn damage allowing for a kill on targets that getaway.
Keep in mind that the Dragons Breath rounds do not work againstWarzoneplayers with EOD, but the damage alone is sure to make a nasty first impression. This gun should be capable of 1 or 2 shotting enemies as it provides a lethal punch with a fiery aftertaste. Due to its rapid-fire succession players should be able to blast apart enemies without EOD and gain some extra lethal kills in early game confrontations.
