6Who Is Makima?
It’s clear early on in Chainsaw Man thatMakima is differentthan everyone else. She is quiet, mysterious, and looks as though she is always planning something behind the scenes. Her eyes are also a dead giveaway as they are more unique than the humans around her, which could make fans assume she is going to be a powerful female warrior later on.
Eventually, there is a big shock in episode eight when she dies only to be resurrected by her own powers in the next episode. She can also kill people seemingly by just knowing their names. It’s a power straight out ofDeath Notebut how these power works is unclear. What are her powers and what is Makima exactly?
5Is Himeno Still Alive?
In the same episode where Makima bites it, Katana Man and Akane decimate Denji and his group.The biggest deathof all is Himeno. She gives her entire body to her contract Devil so that she can save everyone. Unfortunately, even this sacrifice isn’t enough to save Denji and Aki.

Is Himeno completely dead or will she return to the series somehow? Her Devil gives Aki a cigarette from her in the finale, which could imply she’s in another world waiting for Aki to turn her into a contract. How contracts and devils work is ultimately unclear, so there is always a possibility to see returning faces like Himeno. Death is not always the end in anime which has been proven time and time again.
4What Is Kishibe’s Power?
Kishibe fills the anime trope of the old man holding back immense power. When he trainsPower and Denji, he only uses physical moves as well as his gun. He never summons a mysterious power like creating weapons from blood or transforming his head into an object.
Does Kishibe even have a contract with a Devil or is he so good at martial arts and gunplay that there is no need? His gun or his bullets could be part of a contract sort of like how Aki’s katana, Nail, was. Overall, Kishibe’s power and motivations are just as mysterious as Makima’s.
3How Will Aki Die?
One of the best characters in season one of the anime is the Future Devil. The way he dances around and repeats his nonsense about the future being awesome is brilliant. The oddball Devil does have a serious side though as he laughsand tells Akihe is going to die a horrible death.

When is Aki going to die? Will it be in season two or will this character survive beyond that? Also, is the future set in stone? So many anime have premises surrounding how the future cannot be changed and yet most anime that do have fate or future plot lines show that things can change. The biggest example isFuture Diarywhich fans ofChainsaw Manmay like. Can Aki escape his fate or is he locked in?
2Kobeni’s Secret Power
Kobeni is yet another character who was holding back on her power in season one. She is scared throughout the apartment arc and is unwilling to fight. She tells everyone that she wants to keep her contract Devil a secret and is only shown wielding a knife.
In the finale, she turns into a badass femme fatale ninja as she runs along Akane’s snake and does some real damage. She could be stronger than she seems but this could also just be an adrenaline boost she gained after witnessing her partner die. Her contract still is never shown though. There area lot of mysterious womeninChainsaw Man.
1When Will The Gun Devil Show Up?
Thebig villain Devilof season one is set up to be the Gun Devil, but only in name. Will the Gun Devil show up in season two or will that season throw more of its allies at Denji and the others instead? If the Gun Devil truly is as powerful as the anime makes it out to be, this seems like an end of the show type of encounter.
Perhaps the reveal of who the Gun Devil is will be a shock. It could be someone Denji knows already like Makima or Kishibe. Both of those characters are holding back on knowledge in season one. Whatever villain pops up in season two ofChainsaw Man, fans will assuredly devour every second.
