Naturally, everyone struggles to stay focused when pranks are prioritized over any actual learning.

My Dress-Up Darlingrevolutionizes gender stereotypes with a provocative narrative that often has viewers grinning from ear to ear. This particular story features Wakana Gojo and Marin Kitagawa, who form an unlikely friendship that centers around cosplay and broadening each others' knowledge about clothing design and the otaku culture.

Gojo’s lack of social skills inspires Kitagawa to flirt mercilessly with him, knowing full well how uncomfortable it makes the poor boy. The pair find themselves in numerous entertaining predicaments wherebyMarin disregards the concept of clothingfor the sake of “cosplay creation” (but more importantly, turning Gojo into a blubbering beetroot!).
6Teasing Master Takagi-san
ThisSlice of Life rom-com has a very similar vibetoUzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!although Nishikata and Takagi are relatively younger (currently at middle school level.) Nevertheless, plenty of amusing inuendoes are exchanged between the lovestruck young girl and her irritable, slightly older paramour, who tries his very best to keep his affectionate feelings at bay.
Unfortunately, Nishikata is not as skilled as Takagi at mockery and his jokes usually backfire, causing the mischief-making mistress even greater delight. This adorable storyline takes viewers back to the days of their very first crush, which was likely mortifying at the time, but funny to reminisce on in retrospect.
5A Couple Of Cuckoos
Erika Amano seems to be cursed with the same fate as young Uzaki; destined to chase their lustful hearts' desires while receiving very little reciprocation in return. In thecase ofA Couple of Cuckoos,two infants were switched at birth and are subsequently raised in the “wrong” household, but when the truth eventually comes out, their parents decide to try and keep things in the family.

By setting up an arranged marriage between the pair, both families would have access to their blood relative and the one they raised; perfect, right? Unfortunately, the strapping young Nagi Umino has another target in sight and is hopelessly infatuated with his class rival, Hiro Segawa. Erika is left to worm her way into Nagi’s heart as she tries to win him over (in the most comical ways possible).
4Rent-A-Girlfriend
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!has its fair share of awkward dates, which is something Kazuya Kinoshita is all too familiar with! In an attempt to mend his broken heart, Kazuya enlists in the help of a dating service and is matched up with the lovelyrental girlfriend, Chizuru Ichinose, who coincidentally just happens to be his neighbor, too.
Things get all the more complicated when the faux couple realizes that their grandmothers are besties and their business arrangement begins to get uncomfortably personal. With Chizuru in the picture, some other girls begin to take an interest in Kazuya, and the competition (and jealousy) begins to heat up.
3My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex
If basking in the tension of an awkward relationship is one’s greatest source of entertainment, then look no further, because, in a twisted turn of events, a pair of former lovebirds are now suddenly related. There is definitely a great deal of jesting andtaunting between these siblings-in-trainingas Mizuto and Yume attempt to hide their true feelings from one another.

Psychological warfare is another prominent feature shared by these two anime, as each character tries to manipulate and outsmart the other in order to gain the upper hand. Tempers often flair and many sexual implications are made in that typical anime fashion, which is always good for a laugh!
2Fruit Basket
WhileFruit Basketarguably boastsmore romantic content than comedy, there are many moments in each episode that have fans cracking up, particularly when witnessing the rib-tickling interactions between the Zodiac. When a member of the Sohma family makes contact with someone (human) of the opposite sex, they suddenly transform into an adorable representative of the Chinese star signs, which more than often produces hilarious results.
An unsuspecting Tohru Honda finds herself entangled within this mystical family and subsequently becomes the object of several members' affections, but thankfully, is always treated with the utmost respect. Tohru’s young and naive nature holds several similarities to Hana Uzaki (in a much calmer, more thoughtful manner, that is) while Kyo Sohma has a very similar disposition to Shinichi Sakurai.
1Komi Can’t Communicate
With high school romance, silly jokes, and a keen awareness of social expectations;Komi Can’t Communicateticks all the boxesfor a worthwhile lighthearted feel-good anime. While Shouko Komi may be the official Class Goddess and the most popular kid in school, her contrasting personality traits make her acceptance of all this attention quite difficult.
Hitohito Tadano shows great empathy for his captivating classmate’s social anxiety and goes out of his way to help her make 100 friends, and naturally, the pair slowly starts to develop feelings for one another. This lineup is filled with absurd, colorful (and rather crude) characters and an endless supply of laughter (just don’t pay too much attention to the cringy pun names!).
