Many players might have already beaten the game a couple of times, so they might be looking to spruce up the experience even further. The mods can add hours and hours of new gameplay, but alsoimprove on the existing elements. From simple quality-of-life improvements to massive life-savers, the talented modding community has left almost no stone unturned.

10Clear Skill Checks
Endorsements: 3,036
Dialogue is absolutely paramount to the game, players canpick and choose their character’s opinions, as well as try and achieve their goals using their Cool stat. Often, the especially challenging dialogue lines might need more Cool points to use, and the game simply blocks the player from using that option, without actually saying how much they might need.
Certain players prefer to have a particular run and might be perfectly willing to go back and level up before attempting the dialogue again, but it might prove a nuisance to not know how much one is lacking. This mod neatly solves that by adding a secondary number to the icon.

9Kiroshi Opticals - Crowd Scanner
Endorsements: 3,661
The Night City is vibrant and alive, full to the brim with characters from all walks of life, with their own problems, goals, and histories. While the main NPCs are fairly fleshed out, the general population is much less nuanced and detailed in the vanilla version.
This mod gives the player the ability to scan absolutely any NPC and see their description, affiliations, background details, and whatever else they might find. It adds so much to the immersion and breathes a lot of life into the characters and the city.

8flib’s UI Improvements
Endorsements: 3,863
Quests, Messages, and Item sorting can sometimes get quite hectic in the vanilla version. At times, the order seems completely arbitrary, and it can be a hassle to findthatspecific message or quest that the player needs.
This mod does a lot to sort all of that and more. Vendors, Dialer Menu, Inventory, etc are now neatly sorted, allowing players to spend much less time digging through their inventory and journals. It’s a neat addition that makes the overall experience with the game much more enjoyable.

7Limited HUD
Endorsements: 4,131
There is alotof UI in the game. Interestingly enough, the lore and the setting actually make them quite natural, given that many characters have literal implants that allow them to really see their own HUDs.
Still, one might wish to pause it all, at least for some time. The city holds a lot of beautiful sights, and all those extra indicators can pull away from that. With this mod, players can enjoy the clean views as they travel, and only see the UI when they need it.

6Phone Messages Overhaul
Endorsements: 4,394
Even in the vanilla version, Messages add a lot of depth to the characters and the story itself. Not every conversation in the game is a direct dialogue, and quite a lot is being said through texts. Still, there is plenty of space to expand that conversation a lot further, and that is exactly what this mod achieves.
This mod addshundredsof lines for almost every major NPC, adding a lot of lore-friendly stories, and reallyfleshing out some characters and relationships.

5Real Vendor Names
Endorsements: 7,187
Overall, the game doesn’t suffer from excessive backtracking when it comes to missions, which is always great to see in such a large game. However, certain NPCs, especially Vendors will be visited and revisited quite often, and it can be a little annoying trying to findthat oneplace that a player needs.
This mod easily fixes that small nuisance, by altering the names of important locations to reflect the NPC that one might need, which can savea lotof time in the long run.

4Better Loot Markers
Endorsements: 7,443
Looting is a major game mechanic, especially from an RPG standpoint. Through any given run, players will need to examine hundreds, if not thousands of crates, bodies, etc. The vanilla system doesn’t really let players quickly see what might be inside a container, making players examine every single one, even if ultimately they wouldn’t need most of the things inside.
This mod goes to great lengths to improve that experience, giving players all the basic information they might need at a glance, with custom icons to signify types of loot.

3JB - TPP - Third Person
Endorsements: 11,724
For whatever reason, the game doesn’t have a third-person perspective, and many players really prefer to enjoy games from that angle. It can drastically change the way a player looks at combat, their character, and the world around them, and even help some with motion sickness.
This mod is very detailed in adding TPP, addressing almost every issue that comes up. The mod looks and feels great to use, and players can finally appreciate their Fashion Wars efforts.

2Better Minimap
Endorsements: 12,136
Not to say that the vanilla version is bad per se, but it could certainly use a few improvements. For one, Zoom has been requested quite a lot for the minimap, to make iteasier for players to navigatein their immediate surroundings.
This mod adds a lot of customization to the minimap, from new functionalities to visual details. Overall it’s a small, but lovely mod to have in one’s collection, making traveling through the Night City a much more pleasant experience.

1Mod Settings
Endorsements: 24,859
Those interested in modding their game to whatever degree might find a great number of customizable mods they decide to install. Once a collection reaches a certain size, tweaking each one separately can take quite some time, and the process is far from easy or intuitive.
This mod adds a separate Settings tab that allows players to control each and every mod, changing their settings and preferences on the fly. It is a great quality-of-life improvement, especially for players whoreallyenjoy modding their beloved RPG.
