Night City is full of powerful individuals, and even more powerful groups, gangs, and corporations. This free city is a place where those who are willing to do dirty work will become more powerful and wealthy. And that’s exactly what happened here over the years.

Every single one of these groups has different goals, reputations, and motivations, but they all have enough reputation and power to make an entire city bend. Of course, some of these organizations are more powerful than the rest, but the citizens of Night City know better than to mess with any of these groups.

In a world that is completely governed by corporations, it’s easy to see why these groups wield so much power and can change the course of history with their policies and products. Here are some of the strongest organizations in Cyberpunk 2077 that people should think twice about before crossing.
15NCPD (Night City Police Department)
The Night City Police Department is the official law enforcement agency of Night City. A year before the events of the game, the NCPD became a privately-owned agency for the sake of increasing its profitability.
However, the NCPD has done nothing to decrease Night City’s crime. In fact, the situation has only worsened over the years. The NCPD is constantly outnumbered by gangs and overpowered by corporations, which renders them useless in handling bigger issues. When they deal with normal citizens, however, most officers won’t hesitate to open fire.
14The Aldecaldo Family
The Aldecaldo familyis the biggestnomad clanthat operates in Night City, and is one of the country’s Seven Nations of nomads. They were also the first true nomad family to ever form and mainly operate in the Badlands. Although a lot of people consider these to be outside of Night City’s jurisdiction, inCyberpunk 2077,the Badlands are thought of as the 7th district.
The Aldecaldos are well-equipped in terms of weaponry, cyberwares, and vehicles. They rarely meddle with the affairs of the Night City gangs, but they often clash with corporations due to their way of life.
13The Valentinos
The Valentinosis another of the many gangs in Night City. Their power and influences lie in their numbers and culture. With over 6,000 members, the Valentinos is one of the biggest gangs in all of Night City.

This gang is also immensely powerful because of their loyalty to one another. It is difficult to penetrate their ranks because of their close-knit community. They are also very territorial and will fight tooth and nail to protect their lands.
12Maelstrom
The Maelstrom is undoubtedly themost terrifying gangthat operates in Night City. These gangers are obsessed with cybernetic enhancements, so much so that most of them are clinically cyberpsychotic.
This gang isn’t the biggest nor is it the most organized gang in Night City. However, they are highly feared because of their volatile nature and their cyberwar armaments. Most gangs and corporations within Night City prefer to stay away from Maelstrom’s bad side.
11The Tyger Claws
The Tyger Claws is a Japanese gang that operates mainly in Japantown. The gang owns a vast majority of the establishments in the area, which is widely considered Night City’s lead nightlife district.
The gang is also thought to have close ties with Arasaka, which is why they always have job opportunities and access to military-grade weapons. Always well-organized and well-informed, they’re more likely to plan out an assault rather than acting on impulse, making them one of themost powerful gangs in Night City.
10NetWatch
The idea of an entire corporation controlling the Net and monitoring any illegal activities sounds pretty ambitious. However, it seems that NetWatch has managed to carry out this function pretty competently for the most part.

While they are engaged in wars with entities like the Voodoo Boys over the protection of the Blackwall, their lore paints them as pretty competent and strict with their regulations. However, their appearance inCyberpunk 2077is pretty brief and not exactly reflective of their strength as an organization.
9Zetatech
In a world where cyberware reigns supreme, it’s easy to see why companies like Zetatech are so powerful. The fact that they’ve manufactured both Sandevistan and Berserk cyberware is proof enough of just how revolutionary its products are.
Aside from this, Zetatech also manufactures its fair share of gunships and drones that are pretty powerful in their own right. Their presence in Night City might not be as prominent as some of the other organizations, but writing them off would be foolish.
8Night Corp
The Night Corporation is very secretive in nature. The public is very unaware of its wealth, how powerful they are, and the influence they have. However, many know that Night City wouldn’t be the place it is today without this corporation.
This organization laid the foundation upon which Night City now stands. In 2077, the corporation may have been overpowered by the likes of Arasaka and Militech, but their power and wealth are still incredibly vast. The corporation’s main purpose is to ensure the welfare of Night City.
7Biotechnica
Biotechnica rose to the level it is at today for one main reason: its discovery of CHOOH2, an alternate fuel based on synthetic grain alcohol. CHOOH2 slowly but surely took over the world. By 2077, all vehicles and power plants mainly use this fuel.

During the Fourth Corporate War, Biotechnica remained neutral, which allowed them to operate without any issues. However, they supplied both Arasaka and Militech with weapons and various equipment. Many regard the corporation as one of the best places to work in Night City.
6Kiroshi Opticals
Kiroshi Opticals manufacture some of the most high-quality and effective optical cyberware that makes its users such a force to be reckoned with. This advanced cyberware ensures that players are equipped with the most powerful and effective scanning tools.
The sheer amount of information Kiroshi has access to proves that it’s a pretty powerful company in its own right. Given that optical cyberware is one of the most popular forms of body modification, it’s easy to see why Kiroshi is such an influential corporation in and around Night City.
