There are only two secret events inTrigger Happy Havoc, far fewer than either of its sequels. Both of these are triggered in similar ways: by acquiring a specific item from the MonoMono Machine before a certain point passes. The chances of obtaining a given item is random each time the player uses the machine —check out the game’s gift guidefor tips on using it. With that in mind, here’s how to find both secret events in the firstDanganronpagame.

“A Man’s Fantasy”

This scene is one of the more risqué moments inTHH, and more or less functions purely for the sake of fanservice. In Chapter 3,the girls in the groupdecide to spend some time in the bath house to try and subvert Monokuma’s suspicions as to why everyone had spent so much time in the locker room. After the girls enter, Monokuma will encourage the boys to sneak a peek, and the boys will discuss whether or not they’re going to take his advice.

To trigger the cutscene, the player must have item No. 091, A Man’s Fantasy, in their inventory by the time this scene takes place. If the player has this item in their inventory, they will get a CG of the girls in the bath house, their scantily clad forms cleverly obscured by towels and steam. If not,Makoto and the other boyswill decide to simply leave the girls be, and Monokuma will berate them for missing out on the fanservice moment.

Alternate Ending

The item required to trigger this scene is only available once the player has actually completed the game at least once. If they obtain Item No. 092, the Escape Button, fromthe MonoMono Machine, they will unlock a bonus scene that they can watch from the Movie Gallery in the main menu.

The scene is brief and doesn’t reveal much; it only showsthe cast of charactersstanding in front of the school doors as they unlock. It’s possible that this was intended as a secret alternate ending, but was scrapped during development.
