Anyone who watched theDaredevilseries on Netflix is very much looking forward to the upcomingDaredevil: Born Againseries that was recently confirmed by Marvel Studios. To give fans a little heads up about what may come from the Man Without Fear, recent fan art was released to give them a taste of what Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and his alter ego will look like when the vigilante returns to the screen.
Daredevil: Born Againwas officially announced by Kevin Feige at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, though few details were provided aside from its two stars, the episode count, and a release window. Fortunately, one fan has turned toa classic Daredevil suitto imagine how Marvel Studios might revamp the character from a visual standpoint.

In this fan art, released byRahal Arts, the fan art depictsCox’s Daredevil fighting crimein Hell’s Kitchen, much like how fans know him to do. However, this time, he’s dressed in a specific costume that only the diehards know much about. The caption reads, “Here’s another concept featuring the red and yellow suit, let’s hope marvel [doesn’t] turn daredevil into comedy relief.” The picture depicts Daredevil fighting off ninjas, who are probably most likely part of the crime group “The Hand.” However, Daredevil is fighting off the expert martial artists and wearing the well-known yellow and red costume that he wore in the comics.
Not only will Daredevil have his own show again on Disney Plus, but he and Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. the Kingpin, will make appearances in otherMarvel Studios shows likeShe-HulkandEcho. Both have already made appearances in previous Marvel Studios properties, as Matt Murdock made an appearance as Peter Parker’s lawyer inSpider-Man: No Way Home- thus confirming the Marvel Netflix shows to be canon - while Fisk made an appearance inHawkeye. The one question remaining is if Marvel Studios will keep up the same tone theDaredevilseries had with Netflix or if they go in a completely new direction.
As cool as it will be to see Daredevil don new threads for the fans, there is cause for concern that they are going to ruin a character who had been portrayed so well when he was on a rival streaming service. The reason whyDaredevilworked so well was that they managed to capture the darkness both in him, Hell’s Kitchen, and even those around him. Even though the show was primarily about Daredevil vs. Kingpin - note that the second season is usually hailed as the show’s black sheep because Fisk only appears in one episode - you understand why both sides feel the way they do while still rooting for Daredevil at the same time.
If Disney messes with what was already working, that will assuredly put off a lot of the fans.Utilizing Daredevil effectively could go a long wayin helping Marvel Studios keep its fanbase around longer because of his previously perfect portrayal during the character’s days on Netflix. Turning him into another MCU character that fans have already seen in previous movies and miniseries, more likely than not, will not be taken well. If Disney wants this universe to keep going at full speed, they must not mess with what was already working.
