Dead by Daylight players can collect a whopping 250,000 Blood Points just by signing in to the game before 11:59 PM Eastern time on January 6th. For those who don’t know, Blood Points are one of several in-game currencies thatDead by Daylightplayerscollect to upgrade their characters. Specifically, players use Blood Points to unlock items, perks, upgrades, and more from the in-game Bloodweb progression system. Players are capped at one million points, so it should almost go without saying that giving players a free 250,000 Blood Points, a full quarter of the cap, is a huge deal. The announcement tweet doesn’t specify whether new players qualify, though this winter might be a good opportunity for anyone who’s on the fence about jumping into the game.
Dead by Daylightis a 2016 survival horror game developed and published by Behavior Interactive. As an asymmetrical multiplayer game,Dead By Daylightplayers take the role of either Survivor or one of several Killers attempting to sacrifice them to a malevolent being known only as “The Entity.” Survivor gameplay takes place in the third person, with Survivors working together to evade the Killer and escape the map. Dead by Daylight’sdevelopers also faced criticism for their support of NFTs. Non-fungible tokens are cryptocurrency tokens that grant holders ownership over a given instance of a piece of digital artwork. While NFTs are popular, they require a massive amount of energy to create, causing many people to criticize their environmental impact. Nati-NFT fans were thus unhappy with the developer’s association with ‘The Masters of Horror NFT Collection,”which included an NFT of the game’s version of Pinhead fromHellraiser.
