Destiny 2’s Season of the Haunted introduced the newly reworked Solstice of Heroes event, now simply called Solstice, which changed the way players can farm for armor pieces. In fact, while many seasonal events end up being focused on getting more event-exclusive weapons,Solstice’s renewed approachmakes it a fantastic way to obtain high-stat armor on all characters. This is done by completing the newDestiny 2Triumphs associated with the event and then farming for both Silver Leaves and Silver Ash. This guide explains how to do that efficiently before the event ends on August 16.

How to Get High-Stat Solstice Armor

The first important step to unlocking full armor farming potential is to rekindle the new Solstice armor set by completing the Triumphs for this year. To learn how to do that,Destiny 2players can check out this guide:

In fact, the best strategy to farm armor pieces in the Solstice event is tied to having already a full set of glowing armor and having as much Silver Ash as possible.

AsDestiny 2players max out their first Solstice armorset for the glow, though, an important thing to do is decide what sort of stats they are going for on every specific armor piece.

This is because the stat-specific Spark augments for fully kindled armor do stack withGhostmods, meaning that players can create armor pieces with a stat having a minimum roll of 20, and one with a minimum roll of 10.

For future armor pieces, the same principle holds:Destiny 2players should pick one stat to use their Ghost mod on, and a stat that is more important than the other to them with the Spark augment on the armor. It’s worth noting that Ghost mods and Spark augments don’t stack for the same stat, but instead, the latter will override the former.

Best Solstice Armor Farming Strategy

The best way to get good rolls on Solstice armor is to pick one stat from the upper stat pool, which comprises Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery, and one from the lower stat pool, which includesDiscipline, Intellect, and Strength.

This is because selecting one of these stats as the armor’s Spark augment makes it roll with aminimum of 20 points in that stat, but ifDestiny 2players chose the stat to use their Ghost mod on among the same stat group, the result will always be fixed.

This means that the Ghost mod will make the selected stat get a roll of 12, and the Spark stat would then get a roll of 20, as the total maximum for both the upper and lower stat pools is always 34 points. This is only ideal to a degree for Hunters who want to focus on Mobility and Resilience, for example, but there are still better options.

In fact, guaranteeing a minimum of 20 points in a given stat from the upper or lower pool makes it less likely for the remaining 10 points to go into the other two stats, but rather they should be spread between one of them and the original Spark-augmented stat.

The same principle applies to the stats from the remaining pool (upper or lower) when rolled with a Ghost mod active, reducing variance in the results and eventually streamlining the process to desired rolls.

However, any Solstice armor piece can only be rerolled once with the Spark augment, which means that players who want more diverse armor rolls or simply a different roll than what they get on their first try, should get more Solstice armor pieces to keep going.

The best way to getSolstice armor for freeis by playing the Bonfire Bash activity, which usually rewards at least one piece of Candescent armor at the end, and it also allowsDestiny 2players to turn their Silver Leaves into Silver Ash.

How to Get More Silver Ash

Silver Ash is the most important resource to have because it can be spent to reroll armor (with a total of 100 Silver Ash spent per Candescent armor piece to augment with a Spark), and it can also be used to purchase Candescent armor from Eva Levante.

In fact, Eva Levante sells all fiveCandescent armor piecesat the Tower for 3,000 Glimmer, 5 Legendary Shards, and 100 Silver Ash.

Destiny 2players who have plenty of Silver Ash or are in a hurry to get a good high-stat roll can purchase the desired Candescent armor piece from Eva, but they will also need 100 more Silver Ash to augment it with a Spark.

The best way to get Silver Ash is to play the Bonfire Bash activity, but players need Silver Leaves to get Silver Ash at the end, as every stack of Silver Leaves consumed while playing will turn into five stacks of Silver Ash.

There is currently aDestiny 2glitch to get more rewards from the Bonfire Bash activity, but it requires players to use specific subclasses to get the most out of it.

With the glitch, players can easily get full stacks of Silver Ash in just 2 or 3 Bonfire Bash runs, whereas normally this takes at least five runs, assuming 20 Silver Leaves are consumed each time.

Normally,Destiny 2playerscan only convert up to 20 Silver Leaves per Bonfire Bash run, obtaining 100 Silver Ash in the process. Still, Silver Leaves cap at 100 and Silver Ash caps at 500, but the Bonfire Bash activity will consume all 20 Silver Leaves (if available) even if players need less than 100 Silver Ash to reach the cap.

A good way to get Silver Ash is to simply playDestiny 2’s various activities, but the best farms are the quickest activities that provide the most Silver Leaves.

A great example is that runningThe Witch Queen campaignmissions will usually award up to 14 Silver Leaves with a full set of Candescent armor, with the amount remaining the same across both Normal and Legendary difficulties.

Some missions are exceptionally fast to run, such as The Ghosts or The Last Chance.

Another way to get Silver Ash fast is torun quick Nightfalls, with Master Nightfalls providing 10-to-12 Silver Leaves per run providing that players wear 4 Candescent armor pieces and an Exotic of choice.

Starting this Tuesday, the weekly Nightfall will beInverted Spire, which is one of fastest and easiest inDestiny 2. Players can arrange groups to farm the Nightfall repeatedly, getting to the Silver Leaves cap rather quickly.

The week after, which is going to be the last week of Solstice, will feature theArms Dealer Nightfall. This is equally easy and quick to complete, if not more so than Inverted Spire.

Public events are also a great way to get Silver Leaves because they are inherently quick to complete, with Heroic versions often awarding 4 or 5 Silver Leaves per event. As such, the best locations to go to for these are the EDZ and Nessus, as they are big patrol zones where multiple public events often start simultaneously.

Destiny 2is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
