However, these collaborations are usually one-sided affairs where Bungie brings themed cosmetics toDestiny 2. Now, with a new collaboration that also looks like one-way traffic,Destiny 2is getting cosmetics and items from another major franchise.

Bungie revealedDestiny 2’s latest collaboration with BioWare’sMass Effect. This will include Commander Shepherd-inspired armor for Titans, a Liara T’Soni-inspired set for Warlocks, and a Garrus Vakarian-themed set for Hunters. Additionally, aMass Effect-themed ship, Ghost Shell, and Sparrow will also be available to the players. Destiny 2 Mass Effect Armor
A major free collaboration such as this could earn Bungie the brownie points it sorely needs considering the current state ofDestiny 2. Following the release of Lightfall,Destiny 2’s popularity has taken a massive hit, worsened by the massive layoffs at Bungie. Another report also revealed the grim state of Bungie employees following the layoffs, as it struggled to keep its independence after being acquired by Sony. To top it all off,Bungie delayed the upcomingDestiny 2The Final Shape expansion to June 2024. Despite the chaos, Bungie has been proactive in communicating its plans forDestiny 2while waiting for the game’s last expansion, which the community has greatly appreciated.
As for its most recent updates, Bungie is addingWeekly Missions “Wishes” toDestiny 2Season 23that will let players earn raid weapons, exotics, and more. Aside from this, a Crucible map pack is also on its way which will provide a much-needed respite for PvP players. Furthermore, the glimmer cap in the game has been increased from 250,000 to 500,000.
