Summary
With the release ofDestiny 2Into the Light, a new game mode called ‘Onslaught’ has been released. While players have alreadymanaged to complete Onslaught solo, completing this activity on Legend can be rather challenging for the average player, given the frequent modifiers and power level decrease present in Legend mode Onslaught.
Certain strategies specific to Onslaught will help players complete the Legend mode. Given that Legend drops double rewards that include some of thebest weapons in the game right now, players will want to take advantage of the following tips and tricks.

5Buy The Correct Defenses
Some Defenses Are Much Stronger Than Others
The three defense options on offer are Tripwires, Turrets, and Decoys. These defenses aid players incompleting the overall goal of defending the ADU.With this knowledge, it’s important for players to know which defenses are strong and which are a waste of money. Typically, players can avoid Tripwires. While they regenerate at max rank, their damage and utility are far too weak to justify spending upwards of 5000 Scrap on them to level them up.
Instead, players should look to maximize their Decoys and Turrets. The max-rank Decoy is incredibly tanky and can save runs during Tormentor rounds. Meanwhile, the max-level Turret deals incredible damage and can help take down beefy enemies.

4Picking The Correct Map
Vostok Is The Easiest Map Because Of Map Size
Three maps are available in the Onslaught game mode: Vostok, Mothyards, and Midtown. Community consensus agrees that Mothyards is the worst, but some people are split on whether Midtown or Vostok is better. While players should go for whatever mapssuit their build best, we believe that Vostok is the best map for reaching 50 waves.
Vostok is the best for several reasons. The main reason is that the lanes and spawns for every ADU point are very long and clear, giving players time to take down tankier enemies and get set up for defending the ADU. In addition, the defense spawn locations (particularly the Turrets and Decoys) spawn in excellent spots with a clear line of sight of many enemy spawn points, making Vostok much easier for a team of 3 to clear.

3Running A Powerful Build
Standard Setups Will Not Cut It At Higher Difficulties
While players can runsome powerful weaponry, it’s important to consider running a potent build alongside them. Onslaught is the perfect area to test new builds and see how they fare against higher-level enemies. With the number of Orbs and Heavy ammo available to players, Guardians can go all-out in testing the furthest reaches of many different weapons and ability setups.
While certain classes like Hunter and Warlock may have it easier with builds, there are still a number ofpowerful Titan setupsthat players can enjoy. One such setup involves Banner of War on Strand Titan, which allows players to take down high-priority targets such as the Demolitionist bosses or even the Skybombers while having crowd control through certain Grenades and Aspects.

2Find A Fireteam Of Three
There’s Strength In Communication And Numbers
The farm for BRAVE weapons andTrophies of Braverycan get lonely sometimes, so it’s important to call upon a full Fireteam to help with some of the higher levels. Make sure to gather some friends and communicate well during Legend Onslaught runs, as things get very chaotic very fast at the higher levels, meaning that sometimes a random Fireteam Finder or LFG group won’t cut it.
With a coordinated Fireteam, players can make synergistic builds and communicate who will complete certain objectives, such as capturing the Pyramid Zone for bonus Heavy ammo or defeating the Shielded Skybombers. These small factors all add up and make having a coordinated group of players all the more helpful when trying to clear 50 waves of Legend Onslaught.

1Always Throw Batteries
Even When Full Health, Batteries Provide Bonuses
While Shaxx thinks players should throw more grenades, they should, in fact, be throwing more batteries. Batteries are core to the Onslaught game mode and should be a key focus of every player. Typically, batteries can be found dropping from glowing enemies known as ‘Saboteurs’ or general mini-bosses like Skybombers, Champions, or Tormentors.
The health gained from throwing batteries is no joke, and focusing on healing the ADU in the midst of chaos can save runs. However, even if the ADU is full HP, throwing batteries will net players more Scrap, allowing everyone to buy more run-saving defenses.
