Blizzard has officially opened up pre-loading forDiablo 4’s upcoming limited-access beta test, allowing players to download in preparation for the event’s start.Diablo 4’s official launch is still months away, butDiablofans will be receiving their first opportunity to try the game very soon. Two weekend betas are planned forDiablo 4, first for those pre-purchasing the game and then an open beta for all who want to play. Pre-loading will be just the first step intoDiablo 4’s world.Two betas are currently planned forDiablo 4. The first, open to pre-purchasers and those whobuy KFC Double Downsor other chicken sandwiches, starts March 17 at 9:00 AM PDT and ends March 20 at 12:00 PM PDT. The open beta will follow, starting on March 24 at 9:00 AM PDT and ending March 27 at 12:00 PM PDT. In order to access the pre-load, players will either have to pre-purchased through each platform’s respective client or have a code allowing access to the beta.
PC players can access the beta by opening the Battle.net client, selecting “Diablo IV - Beta” from the Game Version dropdown menu, and then clicking the blue Install button. The PlayStation beta is accessible by searching forDiablo 4Beta on the PlayStation Store. The Xbox beta similarly can be searched for underDiablo 4’s beta. The base version ofDiablo 4is between 35 and 45GB on PS4, Xbox Series S, and without high-resolution assets on PC. The full version will be between 75 and 85GB on PS5 and Xbox Series X, or with high-resolution assets on PC.
Diablofans will have a good amount ofexciting content to access in theDiablo 4’s beta. Three characters, Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer will be playable in this weekend’s early access beta. They’ll be able to explore all ofDiablo 4’s first zone, the Fractured Peaks, and progress through the entire Act 1 story and many side-quests. That includes the hub city of Kyovashad. There are also challenging World Events, Legion Events, and Dungeons to experience, as well.
It has been nearly 11 years since the release ofDiablo 3, andnearly 23 years sinceDiablo 2arrived.Diablo 4has been a long time coming. Players will be able to learn if it was worth the wait starting this Friday, March 17. Best pre-load now to ensure a smooth start once the early access beta begins.
