Summary

Since the latest update,Diablo 4players who favor the Druid have noticed the class' Werebear form has suddenly changed colors. The rollout of Season 1 and its numerous changes have certainly sparked debate and made many fans unhappy. Some would argue that the controversialfirst season casts doubts on the future ofDiablo 4. While major, game-wide changes are receiving a lot of attention, plenty of class-specific updates have also been introduced.

All fiveDiablo 4classes have been nerfedto some degree in Season 1, but it seems that each class also has its own separate issues that have different groups of players frustrated for unique reasons. From sorcerer players to necromancer fans, almost every group seems to have something they take issue with. Only Druids, it seems, are experiencing a weird cosmetic change to their class, and players are wondering why it happened.

The color of Werewolf and Werebear fur inDiablo 4is determined by the hair color of the character in human form, and it seems at least a few of these possible fur colors have been tweaked in the latest update. Redditors are reporting that formerly dark red bears have changed to Cheeto-orange, and blonde bears have become “as yellow as Winnie the Pooh.” The discussion began with a post by user mysterious_quartz, and dozens of others quickly chimed in to share their own similar discoveries. Unfortunately, these players are generally not pleased with the modifications.

It seems most commenters are finding these color changes humorous and goofy rather than threatening and intimidating. This likely isn’t the sense that Blizzard was hoping to evoke, and it’s leaving players asking why the change was made at all. It also has a few players that were going for anendgame Werebear build forDiablo 4wondering if they should switch to something else.

There’s currently no indication if this change was intentional on the part of the developer or some sort of bug. Likewise, the developer doesn’t appear to have responded to this issue yet, so fans are unsure if the new colors are here to stay.Blizzard has already backpedaled on one controversial change, so it’s not impossible that Werebear colors will be changed back as well. For now, Druid players will have to tolerate the brighter tones and wait for word from the dev team.

Diablo 4is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
