Diablo Immortalhas officially begun Shadow of the Frozen Throne, aWorld of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King-inspired collaboration. From now until July 26,Diablo Immortalfans can obtain several Frostmourne-themed cosmetics by participating in this crossover event.
Frostmourne is one of the most iconic weapons inWorld of Warcrafthistory. The Legendary weapon led Arthas Menethil to fall and become the Lich King, who then acted as the final boss ofWrath of the Lich King– one of the most popularWorld of Warcraftexpansions.
Now,Diablo Immortalfans can claim thisiconicWorld of Warcraftweaponfor themselves. The Shadow of the Frozen Throne is a new limited-time crossover event betweenWorld of WarcraftandDiablo Immortal. From now through July 26, players can find Frozen Gates all over the game world, each of which contains a special instance full of ice-themed monsters. While inside, characters also get the Chill of the Frozen Throne buff that increases damage and raises enemies to fight for them. Participating in this event allows fans to unlock several Frostmourne-inspired cosmetics, including the cursed blade itself.
Diablo Immortal x World of Warcraft Crossover Features
Players earn the Icecrown Frame simply by logging in toDiablo Immortalsometime during the event, and the Frostmourne Weapon Cosmetic by completing the event. Dedicated fans can also obtain a special Icecrown Pathway portal by making at least one real money transaction during the event. Players who make the requisite purchase can claim this special reward starting July 11 the first time they log in, so they should be sure to pick theDiablo Immortalcharacter and classthey want to use it for.
Diablo Immortalisn’t the only version of Sanctuary that might be getting Frostmourne, however. Recently, two models resemblingFrostmourne were discovered inDiablo 4as well. While it is currently not known when or if these items will be obtainable withinDiablo 4, it is possible they could be a part of a currently-unannounced event, or through the in-game store like the matching Invincible Aspect mount cosmetics were in October 2023. While fans shouldn’t get their hopes up until Blizzard says something official about these models, they can at least wield Frostmourne inDiablo Immortalright now.
