Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time’s new Timebending feature allows players to use a new tool, the Royal Hourglass, to discover treasures lost in time. There are four types of materials players can discover through Timebending.
The first, Mist, is a currency used to unlock new areas and in crafting recipes exclusive toA Rift in Time, similar to Dreamlight back in the Valley. Players can also obtain Timebending Parts, also used in new crafting recipes to construct items at theTimebending Table, a special crafting table which allows the player to, among other things, upgrade their Royal Hourglass. Players can also find both Timebending Gifts and Timebending Fragments.

Timebending Gifts have a chance to drop when Timebending at any time. Certain Timebending Gifts are used for a handful of crafting recipes forScramblecoin Pieceswhile others are used in craftingTimebending Training Manuals, which allow players to change their companions’ role to Timebending, so they can find more treasures.
Timebending Fragments, on the other hand, are significantly more difficult to obtain. Here’s everything players need to know about this new crafting material inDisney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time.

How to Get Timebending Fragments
Timebending Fragmentscan be obtained via Timebending in any biome. However, only a single type of Fragmentcan be found each day. There is no set schedule for which Timebending Fragment is available, unlike theschedules adhered to by crittersand characters.
Instead, arandom Timebending Fragment will be available on any given day. Players cannot influence or otherwise change the current daily available Timebending Fragment. It’s possible for the same Timebending Fragment to be the active drop for multiple days in a row, or not at all, for days or even weeks, if players are incredibly unlucky.

Additionally, there is no way to see what the next day’s Timebending Fragment drop will be, requiring players to log on to check in-game to see what’s available. Players can check which Timebending Fragment is currently available by opening the Collection tab, clicking on Eternity Isle, clicking on Timebending, then scrolling down to the Fragments section.
There are a total of10 Timebending Fragmentsfor players to collect, and some can be obtained only once the player’s Royal Hourglass has been upgraded. Players cannot receive Timebending Fragments when Timebending until their Royal Hourglass is Level 2.

What are Timebending Fragments Used For
Recipes which use Timebending Fragments can be unlocked at the Timebending Table and appear in the Fragments category. New recipes will unlock when the Royal Hourglass reaches the level required to collect that recipe’s materials.
In addition to Timebending Fragments, these recipes require both Mist and Glimmer, a new crafting material obtained by Timebending in any of the game’sthemed Realms. The items created using Timebending Fragments are specific items featured in an assortment of beloved Disney movies.

All crafting recipes which make use of Timebending Fragments each require10 Fragmentsof a certain type, so players will want to be sure to maximize their gain by bringing alonga Timebending companionwhen searching for treasures. Timebending companions can find an additional Timebending Fragment when one is recovered, as with any other treasure.
