Companions are also known as critters inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and they are described as creatures who follow players around. Typically, feeding these critters their favorite food would be the first step to earning their trust. Pua, on the other hand, requires only one simple step, which is leveling up Moana’s Friendship.
Pua is Moana’s pet that was lost due to the Forgetting inDisney Dreamlight Valley. After reaching Friendship level six with Moana, The Remembering Quest is triggered and players need to collect some memories to make her remember Pua. The next mission is crucial to unlocking Pua as a companion, and it’s calledThe Search for Pua.

How To Unlock Pua As A Companion In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To unlock Pua as acompanion inDisney Dreamlight Valley, The Search for Pua Quest must be completed, which is triggered automatically once Moana reaches Friendship level eight. In this Quest, Saviors will help the Chief of Motunui search for clues about Pua’s whereabouts in multiple locations such as; Dazzle Beach, Peaceful Meadow, Plaza, and the Forest of Valor.
Dazzle Beach
The mission begins with Moana revealing that she left aDisney Dreamlight ValleyCoconutnear the Fishing Boat at Dazzle Beach. Head there to discover some footprints around the fruit, meaning Pua tried to eat it but failed.
Peaceful Meadow
In the end, both agree that Pua was thirsty and went searching for something to drink. Moana requests players to search for its tracks near small ponds at Peaceful Meadow. Upon closer inspection, one of the small ponds has a couple of golden tracks near it.
Plaza
Later, Moana asks the players about Pua’s next move, and the correct answer is thatit went to find food. Head to the Plaza and proceed to the famous restaurant Chez Remy, only to discover a plate of uneaten hamburger outside the restaurant. The only plausible theory is that Pua was spooked by something and ran to the slope near Chez Remy, which leads to the Forest of Valor.
Forest Of Valor
The Forest of Valor is the final destination. To find Pua, head to Anna and Kristoff’s castle then turn left to the stairs that lead to the Frosted Heights biome. A couple of Night Thorns will be there, and Pua is stuck in one of them. Freeing the pig will also drop a Leader Shard. Give the latter to Moana and the Search for Pua Quest will be marked as complete.
How To Change Animal Companion To Pua
To change the animal companion to Pua,open the Inventory by pressing the letter Iand then select the Wardrobe menu. Pick the Companion category to see all available critters that players earned their trust. Once theQuest is complete inDisney Dreamlight Valley, Pua should appear in this category. Selecting it will make the Pig act like any pet companion and will start to follow Savior around.
