Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first major storyline concludes with the quest, “The Dark Castle,” in which the player teams up with an unexpected ally to fight against the Forgetting, the curse that has affected the memories of the Village’s residents. After the story’s epic conclusion, The Forgotten, a shadowy version of the player character with a troubling past, will join the residents of the Village.
While the player will regularly encounter The Forgotten exploring Dreamlight Valley and can hold conversations with their dusky doppelganger, they do not yetoffer the same utilityas the Village’s other inhabitants. The player cannot raise their Friendship with The Forgotten, and they do not offer exclusive, unlockable rewards. Additionally, The Forgotten cannot be given a companion role, nor do they have a home in the Village. Instead, the Forgotten resides in the Dark Castle, accessible through a portal in the Village’s Plaza.

How to Find The Neat Bird With The Darkest Feathers in the Valley
To photograph the “neat bird with the darkest feathers in the Valley,” the player needs to head tothe Forgotten Lands biomeand seek out the Classic Raven critter. If the player has unlocked the Classic Raven as a companion through continued gift-giving of its favorite items, they can simplyequip this crittervia the Wardrobe menu and thentake a photo with it, which will count toward the quest’s objective. This makes it much easier for the player to complete this part of the quest without having to wait for one of the days the Classic Raven will regularly spawn.
