Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas a wide variety of gemstones to collect, sell, and gift to villagers in the valley. They are also used to complete quests and can be used for crafting recipes.Gems come in a variety of different colors, and each one has a Shiny twin as well. Shiny gemstones are rarer than normal ones, but can be sold for a lot more Star Coins. Some gems can only be obtained from certain biomes, but luckily Topaz is easier to get than some.
Topaz is a bright yellow stone that really doesn’t have any recipes connected to it inDisney Dreamlight Valley. So this gem is a good one to either keep a couple of for missions, or just sell them for extra Star Coins to make upgrades or purchase items.

Where To Find Topaz
The only biome where players can mine Topaz is thePlaza.Luckily, this is where players first start the game. This means that in order to get Topaz, players don’t have to spend Dreamlight to unlock other biomes, as is the case for some gems. While exploring the Plaza, players will find big rocks against the edges of the biome where they can mine. This is whereplayers can collect Gems.
To make mining easier and quicker, players can bring along a valley villager that has been assigned with Mining during their friendship level-up. Asking them to hang out while mining for gems will increase the chances of getting more than one gem while mining.
What To Use Topaz For
Topaz can be sold for 240 Star Coinsat any of Goofy’s Stalls throughout the valley, while Shiny Topaz can be sold for 960 Star Coins. Shiny Topaz is a lot rarer than the normal gem, so it might take some time before players come across one of those.
Selling Gems is good since money can be hard to come by inDisney Dreamlight Valley, but it is also important to ensure playersdon’t sell all their materials. Some may be required to complete later missions or craft certain items. As of this writing, Topaz isn’t used to craft any items inDisney Dreamlight Valley.This makes it a good gem to sell after having a couple set aside for quests.
