Elden Ringencourages the player base to explore every inch of the world. It’s filled with secrets and hidden paths, but fans may even come across some glitches along the way. WhileElden Ring’s performance issuesare well-documented, it looks like the bugs are not that serious and hopefully, players will not run into any game-breaking issues.
As an example of a glitch, anElden Ringplayer got teleported outside the levelwhile backstabbing an NPC invader, which ultimately led to their death. Players are reporting also having similar funny encounters and now a user has seemingly figured out a way to turnElden Ringinto a top-down game.

User Nurapsycho gets on his horse and jumps off a bridge into a Spirit Spring, which is usually used to get to high ground inElden Ring. A fall from such height would normally result in death, but it looks like jumping into a Spirit Spring can prevent fall damage, and it also initiates a glitch that allows Nurapsycho to continue exploring. Furthermore, the camera switches to a top-down position instead of the regular over-the-shoulder perspective, and Nurapsycho sometimes finds it difficult to see where they are going.
Nurapsycho takes multiple hits from a relentless bear but manages to escape safely, only to find themselves in a fight against an NPC invader named Dung Eater. It can be extremely difficult to playElden Ringfrom this camera positionbut the user somehow manages to defeat Dung Eater, earning 4377 runes for their troubles.
According to the comments, similar exploits can be found in other games by From Software, and they are mainly used by speedrunners to bypass entire levels. ComprehensiveEagle56 states that the same glitch has existed in theDark Soulsgames for over a decade, and many are wondering if this bug can be used to bypass walls. It seems like this tactic will be used by the speedrunning community for years to come.
From Software games have developed a considerable following of speedrunners, and one user recently managed tobeat allBloodbornebosses in less than an hour. However, it may take some time before fans can figure out all the exploits inElden Ringdue to its massive size.Elden Ringis much bigger than other From Software titles, allowing payers to be 50 hours into the game and still be only halfway through the main quest.
Elden Ringis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
