The newest pair of games to join the service’s long list of prestigious free experiences will beRemnant: From the AshesandThe Alto Collection, both of which are seen as underappreciated gems by their fans. As for what players can expect from the two titles,Remnant: From the Ashesis one of the more well-regarded soulslike titlesof the last few years, playing with the conventions of the genre and delivering a unique take that separated itself from the long list of otherDark-Souls-inspired releases. For one, it focuses heavily on ranged combat, with players wielding guns rather than the typical arsenal of swords, shields, and magic that dominates the biggest names in the genre. It also has a huge emphasis on co-op, which makes for a vastly different experience to the isolating campaigns ofDark SoulsorBloodborne. It managed to net a solid 78 on Metacritic at release.

The Alto Collection,on the other hand, combines two incredibly popular mobile games into one enjoyable package.Alto’s AdventureandAlto’s Odysseywere huge successes when they dropped on IOS back in 2015 and 2018 respectively, with the relaxing 2D skiing platformers offering players over 100 levels when combined. Now they’re both joining into one package and heading to theEpic Games Store, they’re likely to attract a whole new audience.Alto’s Adventurescored a whopping 92 on Metacritic at release, whileAlto’s Odysseyscored slightly lower, bagging a still incredible 88.

It seems next week will bring yet another superb haul for PC players using The Epic Games Store, which is proving time and time again that it can offer the most enticing free game offers of any major publisher. Of course, that’s not to say they’re the only big name providing some great free experiences this month, with PlayStation giving awayCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remasteredas well as a copy of the newly releasedFall Guysto every PS Plus owner.
