Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Gameis a cult-classic game that is finally getting a re-release after many years. This arcade-styleScott Pilgrimgame will be getting a Complete Editionfor PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One on January 14.
Originally release in 2010, this beat-‘em-up, 2D side-scroller was based on the original comic books ofScott Pilgrim vs the World. It had a couple of DLC expansions as well, but has not be re-released since. But it was recently announced that the Complete Edition of the originalScott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Gamewould now be availableon the aforementioned new platforms as a re-release. This means there’s no major changes like a remaster or remake, so many may wonder what exactly is included in the Complete Edition.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: the Game - the Complete Editionwill feature the original game, the Knives Chau DLC, and the Wallace Wells DLC. In the original game, players could play as Ramona, Scott, or several others, but the DLCs gave players more characters to choose from. The originalScott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Gamehas been delistedfor several years, and players will again have access to the original as it was in 2010, an exciting prospect.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: the Gamewill be available in German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish through Ubisoft’s website, the Epic Game Store, all the respective console stores, and many more game-purchasing websites.
Surprising Resurrection
In spite of Bryan Lee O’Malley, the series creator, wishing for several years for a rerelease of the original, it was not expected that Ubisoft would ever think it worth bringing back. It was even more unlikely when the10th anniversary of theScott Pilgrimmovieand game both passed by without mention from the developers.
Therefore,O’Malley was just as surprised as fans when the rerelease ofScott Pilgrimwas announcedback in September 2020 at the Ubisoft Forward digital presentation. It’s pretty obvious that fans not only ofScott Pilgrimitself but also of 2D side-scrollers in general are pretty excited for the release, based on the reviews available for the previous release of the game.
