Summary
Prime Video recently released the first set images of theFalloutTV series, giving fans a look at protagonist Lucy (Ella Purnell), the Brotherhood of Steel, acharacter known as The Ghoul, and more, but now the service has taken things a step further with a new teaser trailer. This new trailer gives fans a look at everything shown so far, while also giving them the general vibe of the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
In the upcomingFalloutTV series (releasing Jul 03, 2025), Lucy leavesVault 33for reasons that are still largely unknown. It'’s there that her idealistic and peaceful nature will be confronted by the atrocities of the Wasteland, as she’ll meet The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and Maximus of the Brotherhood of Steel (Aaron Moten). These actors, as well as others involved with the show such as executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Graham Wagner, were in attendance at CCXP23 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Game Rant was also in attendance at the event, taking part in a roundtable beforehand among other activities.
The trailer pulls many of the stills together to give fans the full picture, unveiling a few more secrets about the TV series. It seems, in true franchise fashion, Lucy will be joined by adog companion akin toFallout 4’s Dogmeat. It seems the reason she leaves Vault 33 has something to do with some form of madness spreading within, though this is pure speculation based on a small clip in the trailer. Common enemies such as Yao guai and Radroaches appear throughout the trailer too, and there’s even a quick shot of a Mr. Handy too.
Perhaps nowhere is theFalloutfranchise’s design more evident in the show than in its environmental design. It opens with a shot inside Vault 33, all of which fits a live rendition on the in-game vaults, and Vault-Tec’s iconic blue and yellow theme is there everywhere. The Ghoul is seen shooting up a place that seems it could be straight out of the games, and as fitting for The Wasteland, most of the environment is barren and lonely. One Brotherhood of Steel base seems small and lonely, surrounded by desert as far as the eye can see, and the trailer ends with shots ofbombs dropping during The Great War.
Ultimately, it remains to be seen how theFalloutTV series is received, and luckily the wait is just a couple more months. It seems to be going in the right direction, however, and that’s enough to justify the current hype.

Fallout
Fallout is a post-apocalyptic RPG franchise created by Interplay Entertainment and developed by Black Isle Studios, before Bethesda Softworks took over the IP in 2004. The series features a retrofuturistic style following a nuclear war that devastated the game’s world. Players typically inhabit a Vault Dweller, someone who remained safe in an underground shelter, appearing in the post-apocalyptic world where a problem needs to be solved. While the older games were more tactical RPGs, Fallout 3 took the franchise into the first person shooter genre, while also retaining the RPG elements.
