What better way to mess around with the sliding mechanic than trying to obtain theFar Cry 6’s"Slip Sliding Away" Achievement/Trophy. This trophy will pop when the player has slid for a total of 200 meters in one go. This can be a lot trickier than it sounds, but that’s where this guide can help.
Updated May 31, 2025 by Michael Llewellyn:A few months into the game and the Slip Sliding Away Achievement/Trophy is still managing to evade some of its players in Far Cry 6. The Trophy willonlyactivate if Dani slides a total of 200 meters in one attempt.
While that’s impossible to complete on a flat surface, there are several high points located on Far Cry 6’s map that will help the player gain the Trophy without too much issue. This updated guide now includes two methods and locations to gain the Slip Sliding Away Trophy and both can be obtained surprisingly early in the game once Dani has left the Libertad HQ.
Obtaining The Slip Sliding Away Achievement
There are two primary locations that players should consider when attempting tounlock this Achievement/Trophy. One is located on the Bandoleros Mountain, while the other is the Noventarmas Grass Hill. Both methods are summarized as follows:
Location 1: Bandoleros Mountain
To get this achievement to pop with immediate effect, the player needs to make their way to one of the highest points in the game, which is located inthe province of Noventarmas in Valle de Oro. Follow these directions to locate the prime spot.

Finding Bandoleros Mountain
The player shouldmake their way to Bandoleros Mountain. It issouthwest of Hideout Danzon,a Guerrilla Hideout that can beunlocked as a fast travel location using the camp upgrades. The Banderos Mountain is hard to miss, but it can be a bit daunting trying to figure out where the climbing points are. Follow these steps to reach the top:
Location 2: Noventarmas Grass Hill
The second location to activate this Trophy/Achievement is a little more difficult than the Bandoleros Mountain location. However, there are less dangerous animals in this location and it can beaccessed very early in the gameupon leaving the Libertad GQ after the tutorial missions.

The location can be found betweenBalacerasandCruz Del Salvadorin theNoventarmasregion. To find the grassy hill follow these simple steps:
Using the Grass Hill location instead of the Bandoleros Mountain may take more attempts to get right but its easily accessible location means that the player can obtain the “Slip Sliding Away” Trophy/Achievement with fewer headaches. Additionally, enemies aren’t roaming the area as much because it’s not located withinan anti-aircraft zone.
