Weekly quests are temporary now which meansFortniteplayers don’t have that much time to get through them before they’re completely gone. These quests are a great way to gain some season XP and level up the Battle Pass quickly. Without finishing quests, it’s actually quite difficult to complete the Battle Pass before the season comes to an end.

Now that half of the season has already passed, it’s more important than ever to complete all quests that may appear. This guide is here to demonstrate the best way to get through one of this week’sFortnitequests, a quest in which players will have to slide on ice for 30 meters straight without stopping. It may seem easy at a first glance, but the Battle Royale map doesn’t have that many icy locations with water.
Best Ice Sliding Locations
On the ice, the player will slide much more easily than they would normally - this is one of the variousmechanics inFortnite. However, it’s not impossible to come to a full stop suddenly. So, in order to complete this quest, finding a large body of water that’s been frozen over might not be enough - especially when the player must slide continuously for a minimum of 30 meters without being interrupted.
The best location to visit to slide on ice and meet these requirements is the Icy Islets landmark. Icy Islets is a large lake that’s been completely frozen over. It’s placed on the map right between Anvil Square and Brutal Bastion.
It’s at Icy Islets that gamers will also be able to find and talk to Frozen Fishstick - one of the variousNPCs on theFortniteBattle Royale map. Frozen Fishstick sells Shield Kegs and the Chili Chug Splash - a rare, exotic-rarity item that can only be obtained under certain circumstances.
There’s a hill that overlooks the lake, it’s on the southwestern side of it and there’s a tree at the top. Players will have to either land there after jumping out of the Battle Bus or go up there as quickly as possible and then slide down from there. Doing this will increase the player’s speed and they’ll be able to slide continuously for much longer without coming to a stop. This is precisely the best location to complete this task and get some easy XP.
