Fortnitehas crossed over with all sorts of media franchises, but it has still yet to intersect with one of the biggest anime series of recent years:Spy x Family. In general,Fortnitehas cast a wide net when it comes to potential crossovers, with properties of all stripes appearing in the battle royale alongside original characters. Even celebrities have received their own skins, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ariana Grande playing major roles in the narrative. Overall,Fortnitehas established a reputation as a game where nearly any character could potentially appear, so it’s easy for fans to speculate on who could be next.
There are always morecharacters who deserveFortnitecrossovers, and it can be difficult to rule options out at times. While many of the past crossovers feature characters that entire families would be familiar with, like Superman and Spider-Man, more distinctly adult figures such as the Xenomorph fromAlienand Ash fromEvil Deadhave entered the game. The Doom Slayer fromDoomwas even a part of the game’s latest battle pass. Anime crossovers in particular have been thriving as of late, withDragon Ball, Naruto, andMy Hero Academiabeing the focus of events. With that precedent, many more could follow.

Spy x Family Would be Excellent Crossover Material For Fortnite
One prominent anime that has yet to appear, as of theconclusion toFortniteChapter 4 Season 1, isSpy x Family.Spy x Familyis the story of a spy and assassin who get married for the sake of their respective missions, with neither knowing the other’s secrets. They also have an adopted child who is telepathic, and therefore knows both of their secrets and tries to help. The series' combination of action, comedy, and heartfelt moments has made it a break-out success.
Loid and Yor would make perfect additions toFortnite, with each having recognizable designs that could translate as well asFortnite’sMy Hero Academiaskins. Yor’s signature needle-like daggers would also be a good candidate for a new harvesting tool. While Anya wouldn’t be as easy to translate into a skin without going the route of Morty in a mech, her iconic smirk would be a good option for a spray or emote. Side characters such as Yuri and Fiona could also be potential skin options despite their smaller roles in the show, leaving more than enough potential for a good selection ofSpy x Familycosmetics inFortnite.
ASpy x Familycrossover could feature its own event with missions to match, similar to how the recentFortnitecrossover event withDragon Ball Zplayed out. One potential approach could involve different mission lines pertaining to both Loid and Yor’s jobs. For example, missions based around performing stealthy actions such as infiltrating secret areas and gathering information could unlock new cosmetics related to Loid. Likewise, combat-themed missions like dealing damage and eliminating enemies could offer rewards inspired by Yor.
Spy x Family’s Loid and Yor are fun leads who could translate toFortnite’s gameplay with little difficulty, and the show’s popularity would bring further attention to the game, possibly drawing in new players who love the anime similar toFortnite’s entertainingMy Hero Academiacrossover. Conversely, some people may discover the anime through this crossover as well. With how many anime seriesFortnitehas already crossed over with, a collaboration withSpy x Familywould not be an unusual move, so hopefully a future event can see Loid and Yor joining the ranks ofFortnite’s many guest characters.
Fortniteis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
