When most players think ofFortnite, they probably think of hectic battle royale matches and insane collaborations with superheroes,Star Wars, and more. Redditor Oan_SMM instead sees the game’s creative mode options that allow players to make all sorts of things. As withany game that allows the player to unleash their creativity, some pretty amazing things have come out of creative mode, and nowMariofans have something to ogle over. Using this tool, Oan_SMM was able to recreate Princess Peach’s castle fromSuper Mario 64with surprising accuracy and detail.
Gamers seem to have a mixed opinion onFortnite, with some feeling as though it’s the best battle royale game of all time and others preferring to avoid it at all costs. This masterpiece made inFortnite’s creative mode is bridging that gap, however, as most everyone seems to agree that it’s an impressive work of art.

The first image showsPrincess Peach’s castle from the front. The façade of the castle looks incredibly similar to how it did inSuper Mario 64, and dedicated fans of that game might notice that the surrounding area has even been molded to accomplish this. A river runs right in front of the castle with a bridge spanning over the gap, and gardens cover the rest of the area. The second picture shows the courtyard, complete with topiaries and a fountain in the center of it.
While the exterior is certainly impressive, the accuracy of the interior is even more so. The third picture shows the main hall of Princess Peach’s castle, and there’s so much to unpack here. The first thing players will notice is the large sun symbol on the ground, with a beam of sunlight shooting directly down onto it. The walls are adorned with classicMarioimagery like rolling green hills and cloudsjust like inSuper Mario 64, there are the appropriate number of doors in this area, and the checkerboard floor completes the look in this room. The fourth and final picture shows off the basement of the castle, which is also impressive.
Fans are loving the recreation, asSuper Mario 64holds a special place in the hearts of many gamers. As the first 3DMariogame, it is still considered one of the best in the entire franchise. Oan_SMMheaps his own praise ontoFortnite’s creative mode, claiming that “creative mode has some potential to become one of the best free game editors of all time.”
