Fortnitehas recently changed the pricing of its V-Bucks in a few countries, increasing it in Canada and the United Kingdom, and decreasing it in Mexico. V-Bucks are used to purchaseexclusiveFortniteskins, as well as other cosmetics, tools, or even the Battle Pass, so players who want to customize their characters will be affected by these price changes.
A few weeks ago,Fortniteunveiled its Chapter 4 Season 3, ditching the cyberpunk-inspired Mega City and taking the players to the jungle. The new season brought a strong contrast to the game’s previous one, as gamers now get to explore a rich biome with a jungle area and pre-historic-inspired looks. As usual, the new season also brought several characters, skins, and weapons, and having enough V-Bucks is essential to getting access to most of the new content.

The officialFortnitewebsite has recently unveiled the new V-Bucks prices for the UK, Canada, and Mexico, starting on July, 17. Essentially, prices are going to hike in UK and Canada and go slightly down in Mexico, changing for all packages in these locations. For instance, 1,000 V-Bucks cost £6.49 right now in the UK and will go up to £6.99. The price hike will be similar in Canada, moving from $10.79 (Canadian Dollars) to $11.99. Surprisingly, Mexican players will actually pay less for the virtual currency, as the price was $165 (Mexican Pesos) before, and $159 now.
This change comes on top of another one that affects the economics of the game.Daily logins no longer giveFortniteplayers V-Bucksafter the recent 25.10 update was released. Instead, gamers will need to complete Daily Quests and Mission Alerts to get these rewards. So, overall, they can expect to have fewer V-Bucks than usual to spare, unless they live in Mexico.
Not everything is bad news for non-MexicanFortnitefans, though. This week, the leaker Shiina revealed thatFortnitemaycrossover withThe Elder Scrolls Onlinesoon. According to the leaker, a character based on Bethesda’s game with strongSkyrimvibes will be added to the game. While this information was not officially confirmed yet, Shiina is one of the most accurate leakers forFortnite, and there’s a fairly good chance that they may be correct. So,Fortniteplayers better be saving their V-Bucks if they want to enjoy the crossover.
Fortniteis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
