The Delibird Tera Raid Event has arrived to celebrate the Christmas season inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. Throughout the duration of the event, Delibird will have a higher chance of appearing in Tera Raids withinPokemon Scarlet and Violetand, when defeated, will drop some festive goodies. There seem to be two types of Tera Raid events within the latest set ofPokemontitles; those that focus on difficulty, and those that focus on celebrating milestones and special occasions. Unlike thePokemon Scarlet and VioletCharizard Tera Raid Event, which forced seasoned players to think creatively in order to overcome the first seven-star raid boss of the games, the latest raid intends to be accessible to both new and old players alike as it offers them the chance to gather some useful items that are otherwise difficult to come by.RELATED:Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Running Christmas Distribution EventDelibird can be found in one to five-star Tera Raids throughout the duration of the event, with each rise in difficulty granting it an improved move pool and better variety of rewards. Five-star Delibird are guaranteed to have Blizzard, Swift, Air Slash, and, its signature move, Present, while weaker variants possess moves such as Quick Attack and Ice Punch. It may also be able to use Icy Wind, though this is not guaranteed. Due to its frail stats, weak defensive typing, and limited move pool, Delibird shouldn’t be half as difficult to beat as the upcomingPokemon Scarlet and VioletCinderace Tera Raid Eventis shaping up to be, though it is quite versatile in terms of being able to possess any of the 18 Tera types.

Since thedates for thePokemon Scarlet and VioletDelibird Raid Eventwere announced, players had been wondering what the possible drops for the boss would be, with some even hoping for a bit of Herba Mystica to get them into the Christmas spirit. While none of the various Delibird raids can reward players with Herba Mystica, three-star or higher raids will not only grant Delibird a chance to have its hidden ability, but will also begin to reward players with Tera Shards of a random type, with five-star Delibird raids being guaranteed to drop at least 17 Tera Shards. Other rewards which are not limited to the Delibird event, such as XP candies, berries, rare candies, and feathers, may also drop.

Though some players are upset that Delibird has not come equipped with Herba Mystica this Christmas, the Delibird Tera Raid Event gives new and old players alike the chance to amass large amounts of Tera Shards quickly, which they can then use tochange Tera types inPokemon Scarlet and Violetand provide themselves with the competitive edge. Players who want their Pokemon to have specific Tera types should stock up during the event to save themselves a lot of hassle further down the road.
