As video games continue to evolve, the detail within their graphics and system capabilities become better than ever. There are plenty of games out there that exhibit an intense level of gruesome gore, thanks to the degree ofdismemberment that the player can become capable of committing.

When players are given the tools and the talent, they can easily cut off or even destroy other characters’ limbs. In some games, it’s more than just a feature, but a mechanic to best the enemy. However, for a lot of games, it’s just a bonus to the violence of the game.
8Dying Light 2
Dying Lightpaved the way for graphically impressive zombie survival games, and when seven years passed,Dying Light 2continued that innovation with a new set of impressive graphics and abrand new dismemberment system. Players can use their sharp weapons and guns to slice and explode limbs of the many zombie hordes, and human enemies.
Melee weapons are the player’s best friend inDying Light 2because ammo is a rarity in a post-apocalyptic world. These weapons are sharp enough to not only slice through tomatoes but to chop through bone. The graphics of blood splatters are rather impressive as players hack and slash through zombies.
7Cyberpunk 2077
There’s decent dismemberment inCyberpunk 2077, which isn’t surprising, considering the gamedoes not hold backon the gore and other gross violence. InCyberpunk 2077, players can use katanas and their powerful futuristic guns to blast through limbs and bodies like they’re pinatas.
Some guns are more powerful than others, like shotguns and hand canons. Players can tear through limbs and chests without a hitch, and provide themselves with an authentically gruesome experience. Fitting chrome won’t stop the dismemberment, that’s for sure.
6Ghost Of Tsushima
Players are given the control of Jin Sakai inGhost of Tsushima, a young samurai on a quest to protect Tsushima, and ultimately Japan,against the first Mongol invasion. The game takes many turns and questions the morality and sense of honor within a samurai, against invaders that feel no similar sense.
As players hone their skills with their blade, they will further their abilities to dismember their opponents and to make other enemies run in fear at just how quick and skilled they are with a blade.Ghost of Tsushimarewards those precise strikes with a lost limb or two.

As Geralt of Rivia, players will be using their steel swords against humans and silver against monsters. However,The Witcher 3teaches players that men can be the monsters they fear, with a witcher ready to hunt them.

With the power of certain weapons, limbs will be sure to explode in a gory fashion. Alternatively, there’s also a specific perk inFallout: New Vegaswhere enemies may randomly explode into a gruesome mesh of blood and matter.

With the plasma cutter and other weapons, players will have to aim for thelimbs of the necromorphsto kill them. Simply shooting their heads and torsos is not enough. Limbs are a weak spot, making for a brilliant dismemberment system.
