Genshin Impacthas gone through a massive improvement. Ever since version 2.0, players are treated to a new area with every update. This is a huge contrast when compared to previous versions, which offered miniscule additions.

For three updates (1.3 to 1.5), Travelers were stuck with only two available regions. This caused a major burnout for a lot of people, as there wasn’t much content in the game. During this time,Genshin Impactattempted to keep players engaged by holding one event after another. Most of them weren’t enough to keep players satisfied, but a small bunch was so successful they deserve a rerun. Here are some of the better events fans wouldn’t mind seeing again.
10Wish Upon A Lantern
The first one that should make a return is theWish Upon a Lantern Web Event. Themini-game was a massive hype, because it claimed that Travelers would get a total of one billion Primogems.
Of course, this ended up being a total disappointment. After the split, the one billion became 108, 188, or 288 Primogems per Traveler. Most players got 108, and only the super lucky ones got 288. This amount is far less than what people have expected. ConsideringLantern Ritemay be an annual event,Genshin Impactshould redo this event, and do it right this time.

9Theater Mechanicus
This mini-game is especially popular with Tower Defense fans. There was actually a rerun of the event in version 2.0, but it was disappointing because it was filled with RNG. The original gameplay in 1.3 was focused on strategy rather than luck, which made it a nice break fromGenshin Impact’sendless pool of RNG.
However, it is also undeniable that the second version has fun buffs for Travelers to play with. So, ifTheater Mechanicusever makes a return, fans can only hope that it will be a combination of the original and the second version for maximum enjoyment.

8Five Flushes Of Fortune
In version 1.3,Five Flushes of Fortunewas the first event inGenshin Impactthat allowed trading. Players were able communicate with each other to exchange the items that they needed. To play this event, players needed to take a picture of a certain color. After each successful photo, Travelers would get a random hue, no matter what the item’s original color was. The tint of the required item also differed every day of the event
In total, this activity rewarded 480 Primogems and anew type of Kamera. Unlike the normal one, this Special Kamera has a hazy golden border around it. Lots of players had fun with this event, and wouldn’t mind its return.

7Invitation Of Windblume
Windblume is a festival celebrated by the people of Mondstadt. There were several mini-games Travelers could play in this event: Ballads of Breeze, Bullseye Balloons, and Flora Freefall. Despite some issues with the mini-games, most players agree that this event was one of the best.

The festival was available inGenshin Impact1.4. However, considering the other Mondstadt festival,Ludi Harpastum, is not yet released, it is uncertain if theWindblume Festivalwill be an annual event or not. Either way, a rerun will surely bring back great memories for a lot of Travelers.
6Wishful Drops
Many people may remember this one as the Endora event. The little Oceanid came from afar to investigate a strange occurrence around Mondstadt and Liyue. Later on, it was revealed that Rhodeia causes this peculiarity.
Usually, in this boss fight, players have to defeat the Hydro Mimics. But in Wishful Drops, Travelers could insteadfight Rhodeia head-to-head. Considering how annoying this monster is, being able to directly attack the creature was satisfying for many.

5Windtrace
The history of Windtrace goes way back to ancient resistance and aristocracy. But now, it is merely a gamepassed down through the generations. In this event, players could choose to play as the Hunter or the Rebel. The Hunters' mission is to catch all the Rebels. Meanwhile, the Rebels must not get caught before the timer ends.
Unlike the typical co-op game, Windtrace was the first PVP mode inGenshin Impact. It was a refreshing change of pace, as many players have hoped for either a PVP mode or endgame content. A rerun of this event will certainly be welcomed, especially by those who missed it.

4Midsummer Island Adventure
After three versions of zero exploration, this event allowed players to finally scavenge a new area of theGolden Apple Archipelago. This update introduced the first transportation system inGenshin Impact, theWaverider.Later on, this system is also used to traverse through different islands in Inazuma.

The Archipelago offers a lot of things to do, but unfortunately, it was only available in version 1.6. Players who missed the version (or were unable to complete the island) can no longer explore it. Therefore, a rerun of this event, which includes both old and new elements, would be a huge delight for Travelers.
3Lunar Realm
To commemorate the new feature, a fishing event was released along with it. In this activity, players joinedKujirai Momijiin herjourney to find a legendary fish, theLunar Leviathan.
Fishing was introduced inGenshin Impact2.1. While fishing, Travelers may come across Ornamental Fishes, a special creature can be recognized by its habit of jumping out from the water. Unlike the normal ones, Ornamental Fishes can be showcased in players' Serenitea Pot. After finishing theLunar Realmevent, Travelers will have a time-limited fish, theMoonfin, available for their Serenitea Pot.

2Moonlight Merriment
Moonchase Festivalis another celebration in Liyue. In this festival, players could participate in a lot of mini-games, but the most memorable one was seeking theMystmoon Chests. In total, Travelers could accumulate 500 Primogems from these boxes, along with other loot.
Exploration has always beenGenshin Impact’sbiggest appeal. An event that requires searching old areas to open chests brings back the nostalgia of for many gamers. This type of event can be a great way to incentivize players to explore the original areas once again.

1Labyrinth Warriors
This event is actually one of the newest. However, due to how popular it is, it wouldn’t be surprising if there were another version ofLabyrinth Warriorssoon. In the maze-like domain, Travelers can test their skills to fight tough enemies. This activity is even deemed worthy as permanent endgame content.
While endgame activities are likely far from reach, the Labyrinth Warriors is promising evidence thatGenshin Impactcan make decent events in the future. Travelers can only hope that soon enoughthere will be Resin-less things to do.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
