AGenshin Impactfan completed concept art that combines Sumeru characters Candace and Cyno into a single Hydro character. Candace and Cyno are two fan-favorite characters first introduced inGenshin Impactversion 3.1, a large-scale Sumeru desert update that released this past September.

InGenshin Impact, Candace is the scion of Al-Ahmar and the guardian of Aaru Village, the last remaining town of King Deshret’s descendants. Candace is very kind to travelers who visit Aaru Village with good intentions, but she quickly unleashes her wrath on those who violate the village’s rules. She is friends with Cyno, the General Mahamatra of the Sumeru Akademiya. Cyno’s ruthlessness and desire for justice above all may irritate Candace and the Traveler, but he eventually opens up and reiterates his fondness for fellow desert people and Sumeru. These two characters would help the Traveler save the region from the major threat posed by Fatui Harbinger Scaramouche duringGenshin Impact’sSumeru storyline.

Genshin Impactfan and Reddit user Comfortable_Ad1182 completed concept art for an original character that combines the likeness of Candace and Cyno. The fused character, Candyno, maintains Cyno’s prominent features while incorporating Candace’s Hydro vision, eye color, and outfit motif. Cyno’s Elemental Burst, Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness, is Hydro-based instead of Electro-based in the concept, for example.

InGenshin Impact,Cyno is a powerful Electro characterthat prioritizes offense, whereas Candace is a defense-based Hydro character that makes use of shields. Despite their differences in combat, both Cyno and Candace use polearms as their main weapon. Polearms are a popular choice of weapon among warriors of the Sumeru desert, where Cyno and Candace were born and raised.

The original character provides a glimpse into what a potential child of Candace and Cyno may look like inGenshin Impact. However, the journey is far from over for the Traveler and Paimon, so the possibility of seeing such a character inGenshin Impactis extremely low.

Genshin Impactversion 3.4 is well underway with the Lantern Rite festival, inviting players back to Liyue Harbor to catch up with the region’s beloved characters. Additionally, players may help out Alhaitham in his story quest and explore the new Desert of Hadramaveth region. HoYoverse is expected to share new details aboutGenshin Impactversion 3.5in the coming month.

Genshin Impactis available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development.
