A recentGenshin Impactleak has revealed that there is a brand-new playable unit named Emilie, who is expected to make her debut in version 4.0 or 4.1. Up until this leak, there have only been some rumors about the existence of Emilie, but her identity, design, and voice lines have remained a mystery.
Genshin Impacthas been expanding the roster of playable characters with new additions, some of which stand out among others thanks to their defensive capabilities and versatile kit. Most recently, four-star Dendro sword userKirara made her debut inGenshin Impact, with the courier gaining traction for her shielding abilities. Baizhu and Kaveh, two of the strongest Dendro users, are also among the characters added to the roster in the past months.

Aside from Freminet, Lyney, and Lynette, there will be a new Fontaine character called Emilie. As per the leak from Videre, Emilie is a Fontaine-based character whose occupation is a perfumer. Though her rarity and weapon mastery are unknown, the complete model of Emilie has been leaked, which is based on short hair and a puffy dress. She looks to be medium-sized like many otherfemale characters inGenshin Impact, with her design reminding some people on the Reddit thread of Echidna from theRe: Zeroanime series. It has also been leaked that there is Emilie’s name on the voice line of Lyney and Lynette. With the version 4.0 update on the horizon, more details about this mysterious unit should be provided soon.
On the Reddit thread, fellowGenshin Impactplayers expressed their admiration for Emilie’s outfit, with some hoping that she will be a Dendro user like Nahida and Collei. Some also said the first design with blue hair and pink dress reminded them heavily of Remilia Scarlet fromTouhou Project.
If this leak is anything to go by,Genshin Impactplayers can expect Emilie to be introduced in the game after version 4.0, which is scheduled to release on August 16. It will be one of the biggest updates the game has seen since its launch and addthe Fontaine region, new artifacts, battle pass weapons, and even wishes.
There are a total of68 playable characters inGenshin Impact, each having their backstory, weapon mastery, and constellations. They are divided into categories based on their rarity, which indicates their drop rate. To clarify, five-star characters are harder to come by than four-star characters, but their rarity is not a translation of their power. The roster of playable characters will be expanded with new additions in the version 4.0 update, such as Lynette, Freminet, and Lyney.
