Genshin Impact’s social media accounts have already confirmed the arrival of a new five-star character, the long-awaited Fontaine perfumer Emilie. According to her official announcement, Emilie will be a new five-star Dendro user, and while her official splash art does not reveal her weapon type, this Fontaine character is expected to use the polearm as her main weapon.
Genshin Impacthas a couple of annual events that occur once a year, the most popular probably being theLantern Rite Festival which celebrates the Lunar New Year. Another fan-favorite event is the summer-themed one, which always arrives one update before the release of a new major region. This event also introduces a new limited area that stays in the game for the duration of the update, such as last year’s Veluriyam Mirage or the Twinning Isles that arrived during the Inazuma arc. Genshin Impact Version 4.8: New Limited Area Explained
The new area will include one main and a couple of smaller islands. The large island features a structure that will probably serve as the primary location of interest of the limited event duringGenshin ImpactVersion 4.8. The building’s style closely resembles Fontaine’s architecture. However, many comments have pointed out that the rest of the limited region is similar to the scenery in the recently revealed Natlan teaser.
This has led many fans to speculate that the entire region might serve as a teaser for what players can expect inGenshin Impact’s Pyro nation. At the moment, there is not a lot of information about the actual events that will occur in Version 4.8, but it’s safe to assume that they won’t be tied to the main storyline, considering that the region will be gone once the update wraps up. This is why the summer event is often called the “Summer filler update.”
Another addition that each summer event brings is new cosmetics.RecentGenshin Impactleakshave revealed that two popular characters, Nilou and Kirara, may get new skins with the release of 4.8.
