While HoYoverse has yet to reveal many official details about Version 4.1, leaks have already suggested thatGenshin Impactwill see another major expansion with the next update. Version 4.1 is expected to add Fontaine’s “Fortress of Meropide,” a large prison locking up many of the Hydro region’s most dangerous criminals. The update will introduce two new characters in Neuvillette and Wriothesley, as well as rumored changes to the game’s daily commission system.Genshin Impact’s next update is also set to bring five new enemies to the RPG with its launch next month.

A batch of leaks shared to theGenshin Impactleaks subreddit reveals the in-game renders for thefive enemies coming toGenshin Impactin Version 4.1. The leak gives players a better look at the previously teasedSeneschal of Wind and Seneschal of Frost, two well-dressed enemies sporting a cane and rapier respectively. Two new Meka enemies are showcased with both a large mechanical contraption and a smaller craft, with the former likely serving as a world boss. The post also features a new dragon-like enemy, likely bearing the Electro element and encountered within Fontaine’s underwater areas.
WhileGenshin Impact’s new area and characters are likely to be the highlight of Version 4.1, the RPG is expected to have plenty of events in store for players. Previous leaks have teased a login bonus forGenshin Impact’s third anniversary, reportedly granting players up to 10 Intertwined Fates for the limited banner.Events duringGenshin Impact’s Version 4.1 updatewill also reportedly whisk players back to Mondstadt, with a “poetry festival” and a “fish blasting” event starring Mondstadt’s Crimson Knight, Klee.
The plethora of new content planned forGenshin Impact’s Version 4.1 comes after a jam-packed release for the Fontaine region. The Hydro Archon’s region would debut with three new characters available in Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet, withLynette available as a free reward for playersreaching AR25. The new region has also featured multiple events during its debut patch, including tasks focused on exploring Fontaine and rewarding players with Primogems. A new area in Version 4.1 and new enemies to challenge will add even more reasons for players to keep coming back toGenshin Impact.
