Genshin Impacthas officially confirmed the arrival of a long-awaited character, Arlecchino, also known by her nickname The Knave. This character has made numerous appearances in the Fontaine storyline, and she is currently the main villain of the ongoing Archon Quest.
Over the last couple of months, many rumors have been suggesting that Arlecchino could joinGenshin Impact’s roster at some point in the future. As the main storyline of Fontaine draws to a close, it appears HoYoverse has finally decided to make Arlecchino a playable character.
Genshin Impact’s official X account has revealed Arlecchino’s official splash art and character description, which confirms that she will join the roster in Version 4.6. This character belongs to the Fatui Harbinger group, which consists of powerful individuals who work forSnezhnaya’s Cryo Archon Tsaritsa. Arlecchino made her first appearance during the fan favorite “A Winter Night’s Lazzo” trailer, which also revealed all the remaining Harbingers. She is also rumored to be the fourth most powerful character in this group, making her one of the strongest characters on the roster. This isn’t the first instance of a Harbinger becoming a playable character, as former villains Wanderer and Tartaglia have both joined the roster.
Arlecchino’s Element and Weapon Type
Before her official reveal, many fans were wondering ifHoYoverse would have Arlecchino keep her Pyro abilities. This was because Wanderer, previously known as Scaramouche, used to be an Electro user before HoYoverse decided to equip him with an Anemo Vision. However, these suspicions have now been put to rest as Arlecchino’s official splash art shows her carrying a Pyro Vision.
When it comes to her weapon type, Arlecchino will probably remain a sword user as previous rumors suggested.RecentGenshin Impactleakshave also revealed more information about important parts of her kit, including her Elemental Skill and Burst effects. According to the leaks, Arlecchino’s kit will revolve around using a unique stacking system that will impact her attacks' damage and speed.
Rumors also suggest that she will have a unique Talent effect which will increase Arlecchino’s HP whenever she receives damage. While there is no official information about her exact release date, Travelers players can expect Arlecchino to be featured in the first part of update 4.6. Going byHoYoverse’s usual update schedule forGenshin Impact, Version 4.6 should drop around April 24.
