Summary
AGenshin Impactplayer meticulously recreates the overworld location schedule fromHonkai: Star Rail, and applies it to every single playable character from Teyvat. It’s no secret thatGenshin Impact’s community has been envious of a fair few features present inHonkai: Star Rail. For example, artifact farming is considerably easier in HoYoverse’s latest gacha title compared toGenshin Impact, and players getting afree 5-Star character inHonkai: Star Railonly further exacerbated the situation.
However,Honkai: Star Railhas also been a good template for HoYoverse to improveGenshin Impactwith, as many quality-of-life features have been implemented in the past couple of patches since the launch of Fontaine.Version 4.4 ofGenshin Impactis set to follow this pattern, as it will add a Custom Artifact Loadout option for every character. That being said, there is one feature thatGenshin Impactplayers have been requesting since release, and it pertains to playable characters having a permanent presence in Teyvat outside Story Quests, Flagship Events, and Hangouts.

This is a concept already present inHonkai: Star Rail, and Outrageous-While-609 was inspired to take its character schedule and adapt it toGenshin Impact, creating a detailed list of locations where each playable character would be (depending on the time of day). Having Lisa visit The Good Hunter or otherwise tend to the Knights of Favonius library would add to the immersion factor by a significant margin, and it would make the cities and wilderness of Teyvat feel much more alive.
The schedule accounts for specific narrative factors, such as Mona’s Story Quest,Fontaine’s Archon Quest, or even character relationships (such as Xiangling, Chongyun, and Xingqiu being close friends). Though it could be possible for HoYoverse to implement a similar schedule now that a mechanism capable of pausing quests is available,Genshin Impactfans have pointed out that it may be too costly from a voice acting standpoint to continuously update each character’s location and schedule with every new Version.

Another quality-of-life feature thatGenshin Impactplayers have been hoping to get concerns the ability to replay past Flagship Events. Those that heavily focus on story and lore, such as Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, remain completely inaccessible to newGenshin Impactplayers, despite being amajor source of character development for Albedo. While HoYoverse has promised that it would look into implementing a “story replay” feature forGenshin Impact, it remains to be seen if it will also include Flagship Events.
