A newGenshin Impacttrailer has given players a look at four-star character Kaveh’s gameplay, just a few days before the character is set to release. With the HoYoverse RPG winding down the story of the Sumeru region, recent releases have looked to round out the region’s lineup of characters. Version 3.5 saw the addition ofcontroversial five-star character Dehyawhile Alhaitham was introduced in the previous Version 3.4 update. Now, Kaveh will become one of the last characters featured in Sumeru’s story to appear in the game.
While Kaveh did not play a major role withinGenshin Impact’s main story, he boasts significant connections to both characters and locations within the game. Kaveh is the roommate of the previously mentioned Alhaitham and has often been seen bantering with the Akademiya’s Scribe in his appearances. He also served as the lead architect behind the Sumeru region’s Palace of Alcazarzaray, owned by another playable character in Dori. Now, with plenty of teasers about Kaveh already, fans are finally able to see how the character will play.

The newest inGenshin Impact’s Character Demo series, titled “Kaveh: Edifice of Sincerity,” gives players the first full look atKaveh’s gameplay. The character’s attack and ability animations pay plenty of reference to his status as an architect, with his Normal Attack animation mimicking a compass and gridwork animations on his Elemental Skill and Burst. Kaveh’s Elemental Skill deals Dendro damage around him and immediately detonates any Bloom cores within his surrounding area. His Elemental Burst creates a large Dendro damage field and empowers Kaveh’s Normal and Charged Attacks with Dendro.
Kaveh’s abilities will look toslot nicely into Bloom team compositionswith the ability to instantly trigger Bloom cores as a valuable asset. Many fans have already speculated from leaks that Kaveh will be a valuable sub-DPS for Dendro teams with main DPS potential at higher Constellations. Kaveh will also look to play nicely alongside one of his banner’s featured five-stars in Baizhu, a Dendro healer. Kaveh is set to release on the limited gacha banner next Tuesday following the conclusion of Nahida and Nilou’s banner, likely joining the permanent rotation in Version 3.7.
Kaveh’s status as one of the last major Sumeru characters to be introduced comes asGenshin Impact’s next major region is on the horizon.The upcoming Fontaine regionhas seen heavy speculation and leaks within recent weeks, suggesting the Hydro Archon’s domain will be releasing this summer. Multiple NPCs and in-game events have already teased aspects of Fontaine like its technological advancements and the region’s focus on “justice.” Kaveh’s flexible kit should look to be a useful addition to a variety of Dendro-focused teams.
